stillman is at best a 7th D. I would protect ZAD and hten after a few top 10 teams lose a good d in the draft I would trade ZAD for hopefully a solid return.

I’d protect Gaudette, no doubt about it. I’d also try to trade Zadorov then protect Stillman. If there’s no takers for Zadorov I’d still protect Stillman.

I wouldn’t sign Zadorov before the expansion draft. If Seattle signs him as an unsigned RFA, that counts as who they select from the Hawks. If he is not selected, still don’t sign him and protect Stillman. You are begging the Kracken to pick either Zadorov or DaHaan, which probably means they lose my guess Kampf. LBR could probably say who the Kracken will pick. Francis is very advanced stats driven. Their first hire was an advanced stats guru.

The Hawks should move Zadorov before the draft for a pick, a mid to late 2nd round pick would be fine. Then parlay 2 of our seconds for a late first round pick.

ZAD is a RFA kampf Advanced stats are 41.5% the last 2 years and has never been a + in any season. I just do not see him being the pick. Dehaan would make more sense and then retain and trade at the TDL. he would take stillman or ZAD before both. maybe even subban. gaudette I think has 20 goals ability on the 3rd line and 2nd PP unit. beyond DEF and face offs we also need 5X5 scoring and gaudette can help with that. he can put HD shots on goal 5 on 5.
