Yes they are, but I don't want Monahan!! - Buff36
You just flip him to Columbus for Tampa’s 1st and Elvis. He would need to come our way for salary purposes |

They look like they belong. No luck involved to make it here.

Who would you propose from Calgary? - IonSabres
Monahan, Zary, Pelletier, their first and a cap dump for Eichel, Risto, oloffson and Pekar.
Flip Monahan to Columbus for Tampa’s 1st and a goalie.
Zary, Elvis, two 1sts and Pelletier is a good haul in my opinion. Calgary only loses Monhan in their lineup and will have jack to convince Johnny hockey to stay. |

Sorry Anthony, don't like this at all.
Not a fan of Monahan nor Elvis.
Calgary's 1st is 12th
Tampa's 1st is like a 2nd at 31..which should be 32nd.
Zary and Pelletir are good prospects though...

Right and an extra 20 million over the cap in elite players wasn't involved on the other side |

I like Tampa as an organization but I don’t want them to win the cup because of this. It’s BS
I hate the Isles in general so the only team I’d want to win is Vegas |

According to PFF, its list is a projection of what the website thinks will happen in the future and does not necessarily explain a spectacular – or not-so-spectacular – 2020 season. That partially explains why Diggs (ranked 45) is ranked behind Saints receiver Michael Thomas, who ranked No. 44.
“Thomas is coming off a season in which he scored just one touchdown and recorded only 511 receiving yards. And that included two playoff games, one of which saw him held without a catch. Still, it would be an overreaction to drop him any further down the list than this,” Monson wrote. “Before last season, Thomas put up three straight elite overall PFF grades above 90.0. His rookie season generated a mark of 86.0 and featured over 1,100 yards and nine touchdowns. Thomas is one of the best receivers in the game coming off a season in which injuries painted a false picture of the player we know him to be.”

I get it, but they are upfront about this ranking being based on where they view them going forward and not based on years prior
I certainly would pick Diggs over Thomas but I don’t think it’s too crazy |

It really exposes the NHL as the joke league it is. Pretty soon MLS is going to be more popular. |

I just don’t think your getting all that for Jack alone.
Monahan averages 60pts per 82
Eichel 77.
Monahan down year, Jack injured (again) and is still injured. Makes 4 million more dollars, but two years younger.
The difference isn’t 3 1st rd picks in Zary, Pelletier and their 1st. We would be adding to the trade .

Reputation factor I guess.
Different sport, but Hedman is a Norris Finalist this year despite having a down year by his standards and playing with an injury.
Charlie McAvoy was probably more deserving for this singular season but because Hedman has been the best d-man in the league the previous 3 or 4 years prior he got the nod.

It's a hot take hidden behind a curtain of numbers-based pseudo intellectualism.
1 TD and 500 yards Thomas is ahead of Diggs?

"One of Drysdale or Zegras has to be involved in the deal, if not both."
I would skip the pick and get both Zegras and Drysdale.
Eichel for :
Zegras, Drysdale, 2021 1st (3oa), 2022 1st
*and I’d take back Cap to help them out if they want |

We’ll you don’t KNOW that dude
And I’m laughing at the mediocre return you’d accept for Eichel
Plus, you’re looking at it the wrong way
It’s not us getting back what’s fair value for him
It’s us getting back whatever a team has to do to outbid the others that want Jack |

Eichel 2 goals and playing hurt is still viewed as a top 5 Center by some around here... Thomas did only play 9 games, and was limited or missed time in like 4 of those. Is your issue that Thomas is above Diggs or that he’s there at all? |

Ya. Again the ducks aren’t giving all that up. I don’t need to “know that” no team is doing that.
Would you give up Cozens, our #1, Dahlin and our 2022 1st for Draisaitl. Because that’s what your asking the ducks to do. You can argue that Dahlin is better than Drysdale and I’ll comeback that Leon is better than Jack (he is).
You are gonna be upset when jack is traded when you are expecting four top 10 picks, with two of them developed already |

That part. Diggs had the best receiving year in the NFL last year and he's outranked by a guy with 500 yards and 1 touchdown?
Its a Cody Franson take |
