It's fine to say that, but aren't you nervous that he won't? - Lunaion
Pegula stupidity is the wildcard. Will they pull a ROR? |

I really expect them to take the best offer they can get before the draft. Selling low sucks and we just keep on doing it.

Diggs had a top 5 wr season in buffalo Bill's history.
Possibly the best season ever.
Allen still his qb
Other dude sucked
Flat out terrible
Now winston is his qb - Boss34
I saw Barnwell giving Diggs best chance at breaking single season receiving yards record. 1964. That’s a #. Gun to my head, I’m going with Strahan’s sack record as big one that goes down this year. Myles Garrett the favorite, but I will go with Chandler Jones, possibly for the Phins. |

I do too. I still expect that we will get 90 cents not he Dollar, and that will be two premium asstlets and two good assets. |

I hope they can get a 1st and a prime prospect (Drysdale, Zegras, Dach, etc.) Worried that KA won't be able to pull that off. - Lunaion
Fair enough.
I'm not sure why I'm giving kA a free pass? Maybe the clarence in him?
You've been rightfully critical.
Seems odd that were trying to acquire more 1st's with fewer scouts? |

Might have a few more balls thrown Diggs way, beasley retiring...
Interesting take on Garrett 3ER |

I'll spare you from my KA rant. Really do hope he exceeds my expectations on these trades.

I just don’t think your getting all that for Jack alone.
Monahan averages 60pts per 82
Eichel 77.
Monahan down year, Jack injured (again) and is still injured. Makes 4 million more dollars, but two years younger.
The difference isn’t 3 1st rd picks in Zary, Pelletier and their 1st. We would be adding to the trade . - Fattony1187
I notice you neglected to mention the additional 3 years of contractual control over Eichel while he's in his prime over Monahan.
Also, not one down year for Monahan, it's been 2. He's trending in the wrong direction, and he stinks defensively.
He's not remotely in the same stratosphere as Eichel.
Nobody should have confidence in the return the Sabres get for Eichel, but to pretend like Eichel is not worth a minimum of Zary, the Calgary 21 1st, and one of their forwards like Mangiapane is bananas. That assumes of course that additional cap would be coming back to even out the deal financially. |

And Zary - sbroads24
And the 2021 1st considering the Sabres are adding cap in that deal. |

Two things are certain.
Jack is a super star and to even think getting back fair value will happen is a pipe dream.
Jack is not, never has been and won’t be a leader for any team in the league. He will be simply a super star putting up points and winning Stanley cups under the leadership of others. |

Source? He was made captain when he wasn't mature enough to handle it. That said, nobody is trading for him to be captain anyway. Also, there is a big difference between real value and fair value. You never get real value when trading a superstar but that doesn't mean you can't get fair value. And fair value is still going to be a lot.

Buff: 1st Jarvis Bean Bokk - Buff36
I'd be happier with their 21 1st, Jarvis, and Necas along with some cap coming back.
I'm sure some or many will say that's too much etc., but enough of that. It's Jack (frank)ing Eichel. A trade for him has to hurt and be fair. |

Wheeler's top 100. He has Kent Johnson #2, Guenther at 6. Power(s) at 1
https://theathletic.com/2...-players-top-the-ranking/
I could definitely see a scenario where the Sabres use 3 on Kent Johnson, seeing as Kevyn is developing a propensity to grab the guy with the highest ceiling instead of someone who is more pro ready like Beniers. |

In light of how both the Bolts and Isles play, for me, this about Berniers is very intriguing:
"Beniers is built for the next level. He’s a plus-level skater who gallops around the ice, plays on the inside (which opens up his effective cutbacks), pushes tempo in transition, and drives possession with his ability to win the game’s 10-foot races." |

He's definitely a guy you want and need for playoff hockey.

That's cool, I like Necas. Was just thinking of pieces that are ready to help, Bean would be your 2LD, Bokk is ready to hit the Ice. Gives me a chance to trade back with Seattle and have them either take a player from are roster, or I want you to select Callan Foote from Tampa and he comes to Buffalo in the trade. And Carolina doesn't really have many camp dumps and they have 26m in cap space. Kracken gets Power, I get Bernier and Foote. |

Personally, when the worst team in the league also wins the lottery, given the odds of doing so were ~1:5 of doing so...well, fair value should be the 1st and 2nd draft picks...1 for finishing last, the 2nd for winning the lottery.
Real value in the eyes of the NHL is merely the 1st selection.
Doesn't seem right. |

Perhaps I haven't seen enough of Kent Johnson (probably not nearly enough) but I don't get what makes him a 2nd overall, or even top-5 for me. Same with Clarke. |
