I made this argument the other day.

I'd rather have 2021 than 2014. There's a nice young foundation here that will be built upon once these trades happen. In 2014, we had nothing worth selling, nothing in the pipeline and nothing good for youth. It was the 2019 Redwings.

Lots of people would dislike Johnson here his 5v5 he only had 12 points this year he be fun like ennis though

Johnson is nice he has Incredible hands but he doesn't understand when a play is dead stop trying To make a play out of nothing it hurts your team

We had the number1 ranked prospect pool in 2014, unfortunately that's what they were prospects and TM traded everything away including draft picks, and then his draft picks were horrible and never refilled the cupboards

If the Sabres get the ducks pick, they could trade down to 6 with the Wings at pick 3 and get him at 6 I think

I think the cost for the Wings would be

3 for 6 and Wings 2nd + Rangers 2nd

Or 1 for 6, Caps 1st and Wings 2nd
