I would take Zegras and drysdale and sweeten it by swapping 1 and 3. They get Eichel and power, we get Zegras, drysdale and Hughes.

Many teams around the league according to reports are willing to trade out this year because they don't see much in this draft.

yet we are trying to convince ourselves here that its going to be great because the Sabres are going to have multiple picks.

Doesn't take much convincing. Top 10 picks become top6/top4 quality over half the time. Obviously sky is the limit there with top10s, but even in a weak draft, usually over half the players taken turn out to be studs.

I mean you have like the 99 draft where it's a tire fire. Outside of that, I couldn't find any year where I thought the majority of picks were busts (bottom6/bottom pairing or lower). 2010 isn't great, but with Hall, Seguin, Skinner, Nino, Granlund and RyJo...still majority ended up being pretty good.

Varying degrees, but why do you think this draft is super far under those of the last couple decades? Seems like a big leap. I see others making it, so not being snarky, genuinely curious your justification.

They would ask or mandate that the Sabres also take at least Henrique as well in the deal for salary purposes.

The Yankees have more triple plays (3) than the Diamondbacks have wins (2) since the Yankees got their first one

Get me Power and one of the three forwards (Berniers, Eklund, Guenther) and I think it will go a long way long term.

Let's face it, they're going to be a lottery team next year as well. Build towards the future.

It's been 6 weeks since the end of the season so I assume we're close to a decision. They may wait for a trade so he doesn't have to answer Eichel questions

My info is sporadic, I don't see my guy too often. Don't think I'll see him until September.

Old news at this point, but said Reinhart is 100% gone, watch for Calgary and Anaheim, Adams (still) wants to talk to Lambert and I think Jeff Halpern, and 1OA is very much in play.
