That's probably more realistic.
I think Dach fits the byfield/ jack hughes/ laferierre requirement.
11th fits the draft pick
Kubalik - current nhl player with upside
Dach
Cozens
Mitts
Great28 - Boss34
Dach, for me, is one player I think that will rival Jack in a few years. If they dangle that package I'd do it, but probably try to squeeze something else out of them instead of Shaw who is likely to be on LTIR (at least that is what I read somewhere)...therefore Shaw helps them by providing $3.9m of Cap relief. The Sabres need to go out and hire their head of player development from Tampa and make him the Team president here.
That team develops everyone. - ImThatGuy
It has to be easier to develop when the entire fan base isn't waiting for a 17 year old to be the saviour. Stevie Y should continue to get credit as he bought the ingredients and baked the cake.

isn't this bolts team the one that he built? - Michael Pachla
Yes. Detroit was scorched earth and they're doing things pretty slowly. Stevie's made some nice picks so far.
He and his staff picked almost everyone on that team right now in Tampa. They got a bundle of picks for selling off their old players and castoffs and made the picks count. I think the only players of prominence not picked by Stevie are StamkO and Hedman.
yeah, but those first 10 months or so was a nightmare...from covid to the firings to the losing streak to jack and sam reportedly having had enough...could it get any worse? - Michael Pachla
Sure: Get bad returns for both of Eichel and Reinhart while hiring David Quinn as the next head coach.

For the most part yes.
Coleman and Goodrow were very good TDL acquisitions last season, as was picking up Maroon and Shatty before the season started last year. Adding our friend Bogo also helped.
BriseBois made those moves.
TDL acquisition Savard was a good move as well.
Brisebois gets credit for knowing what he had after the CBJ series, keeping the 5eam together and adding in key parts.

Agreed on each ☝️
Could really live up to a eichel-lite guy.
I think shaw or someone else would be a cap dump to off set the 10 million.
I also agree with adding olofsson, with eichel. Makes both players more valuable? Although me and olo are in an "on again. Off again " relationship ♥️
