Honestly, I don't think there's too much to do? They went to the Finals then Conf. Finals and now in the Conf. Finals again?
They're pretty tight to the cap with a couple RFAs to sign. Think it will be much the same team next year, which isn't a bad thing. The pieces are there, guys just need to get over the hump - NewYorkNuck
They just choke when a good defensive team plays them. |

Truth 👍👍 - Nighthawk
I still think Vegas’ smartest expansion draft move was to secure MAF. It instantly made them competitive. |

I'd love to but according to my book we've already taken measurements. For the record, you're tied for 2nd with 356 other guys. I won in case you're wondering. - golfingsince
Oh ok I thought I was in 2nd alone & everyone else was tied for 1st. |

And that’s why you build from the goaltender out. IMO, it’s the most sensible way to build a consistently competitive franchise. - bloatedhefty
But here's the conundrum: if you build from the goalie out, do you acquire the goalie through signing/trade or through draft.
If through trade/signing, the team already has to be competitive or close. If through draft, you don't know what you have for 3-5 seasons. So do you draft multiple goalies?
I like the build from D out but still employ BPA at the draft (been discussed to death.). Draft goalies but it's too difficult to rely on one to base your rebuild around. |

Goalies are found & developed & need not be 1st rounders. Elite C’s & top RHD are gold. Wingers & LHD are the easiest pieces to get. |

GmJB should blow all our minds and trade up into the top 3 and then turnaround and trade down a few picks with another team , and still get his guy😃 |

Who's trying?
You've got this thing going where you're some kind of elite drafter. I have a book that says otherwise.
Actually, according to my book you're just another knob on hockeybuzz like the rest of us.
Apparently living in Winnipeg doesn't grant you special status. - golfingsince
Well, I don't live in Wpg.
At no point have I said I'm an elite drafter. That's just made up BS once again. Probably a joke that was told by Ruby and you believed like an idiot.
If you got a book. Lets see my results. I would honestly like to know. My own records are poor at best. |

Season before it was Stone or Patches, cant remember which order. Last season it was Alex P.
What else can he do to help them over the hump? |

If I were from Brandon I'd probably just go with Winnipeg.
You may never have said you're an elite drafter but you just let on like you're better than anyone else......including JB. We actually only have to back a few pages to see that.
I'll keep my book to myself, it's for my own enjoyment. The truth is, you're no better at hockey than the rest of us. |

That is what Carol said.
I like that they are having more than one voice. What is your opinion of Wallstedt as the other goalie guy here? - VANTEL
I don’t like picking a goalie in the 1st round. Goalies are voodoo. That being said, if it’s a weak draft and their options aren’t great, he might be more of a sure thing than the skaters he’s projected around. |

I agree which is why I don't think you can start a build from the goalie out unless it's an expansion team.
A rebuild needs to start at d and c and then try to find/develop a goaltender. |

Ian said you tend to draft goalies in consecutive years in his interview. Ideally. Something to that manner. |
