Personally, I wouldn't do this trade.

Not that I think it's far off from value but MDP being the possible 3rd string next season. LE only has one year left and it saves 2M to buy him out this season. Reinhart is going to make probably 5+ on a term contract this season where in a season or two the 9oa pick will be maybe the same value as Reinhart is right now but at 925K a season with bonuses for 3 years.

This pretty much. Rather fill hole(s) with some good value UFA’s firstly. That is if no e-draft deals make sense. Priority in no particular order are 3C in around 3m top 4 RHD for 4m ish. Ride out vet contracts.

Maybe we can get a bottom pair Dman with that.

If for some reason Van had a Clb amount of NHL talented prospect goalies. That might be a move but at this point. The teams 3rd string would have a single game of AHL experience.

If Seattle does take Holtby and you traded MDP away. You would need to go find two more goalies.

Certainly a do able thing if it had to come down to it but I wouldn't be heading that route for it would seem rash.
