Yeah, I get that but typically coaches go with the one that got them there. Tonight I don’t think it would have made a difference as Vegas has been dreadful defensively imho.
3-0 now? Wow I stopped watching after the 2nd period at 2-0. Habs are just stifling The Knights. Can’t generate anything really. - nyisles7
3-1 Vegas making a push. Not sure how far they’ll get. |

Crazy I never in the world thought The Habs would have a chance against Vegas. I guess that’s why they play the games.

Trotz sticking with the same lineup? I’m thinking he does… - Cptmjl
Sure, why not? They played so well in the last game. Knowing Trotz though, I have to agree with you. Unless he goes with Ross Johnston to replace Barzal... |

Can't imagine he'd change anything at this point. Maybe Schneider in net. Need a little more vet presence. Got forbid Wahlstrom replace Zajac. |

Two things kept Briesbois for being considered as GM of the year :
1) The misconception that the current Lightning roster is solely the result of Yzerman's work.
2) Butthurt over legally circumventing the cap.

Would take a lot of guts to go with the exact same lineup. All I know is I would not play Leo one second on that 1st line and Wally would be playing. |

Trotz was complaining about Bergeron's face-offs even before that. So... - Nasty_Duck
Let it go already.. He wasn't complaining either.. he was commenting how much of a Pro he is at never putting his stick down first in the D-zone and being able to get away with it b/c he is such a savvy Veteran. ..... the complaints came from Boston's whiney coach and Fan base once the linesman bounced him numerous times for doing exactly that the next game.
Tampa does the same stuf... so do the Islanders. The coach pointing it out to make it a focus is actually pretty brilliant. |

Figured Bergevin would win it this year. Cannot believe the Habs are one win away. I thought they could be on a magic ride like 93. |

i think he goes with the same line up. palms should start the game on barzals wing and they need to get their match ups. need barzal to spend his shifts in the offensive zone. would love to see wahlstrom in, but i dont think we will. |

If I am a voter that would be a positive ..not a negative. These are the rules.. if you can figure away around them to help your team so be it. |

Yeah it’s only like 98% Yzermans team. |

Me too. But the other side of that coin is resentment. I bet many rival GM's take a dim view of it, for one reason or another.

Yzerman does deserve the lion's share of credit for building this team and improving it's overall culture. To be fair though, he has been gone a couple of years now and Briesbois has done a good job of keeping the wheels turning.

I think Wahlstrom plays tonight. He needed an excuse to put the kid back in there and they certainly gave him one last game. He earned his spot before getting hurt and deserves to be back in the line up.
3 players 21 and under scored for the Habs last night. Wahlstrom does everything he is supposed to in Trotz' system and can score.. he should be in the line up.

I think Bergervin caught lightning in a bottle. But yeah, it's pretty amazing what the Habs have managed to do with a lunchpail roster. Of course, having an elite goalie certainly helps. Price picked the best time to rediscover his form.

Exactly right! If JGP is banged up it's even more important to play Wally and Barry did say a player should not lose his spot to injury so Wally should be in. |

The Weber trade really worked out. Figure it was a mistake trading for him and all the millage he had. Bergervin has brought in much needed grit. I want an Isles/Habs final so bad. |
