Nothing.
IMO, Bolts wouldn't trade Point for Eichel.
Point is just as good, cheaper, more reliable in terms of availability, a stud playoff performer, and has a great attitude.
Jack is jack. - IonSabres
Point is cheaper for one more reason, unless you think he's taking yet another sweetheart deal at age 26 instead of taking a full value deal?
Interesting that Eichel is 6 months younger than Point. |

What kind of production do you think Eichel would have on that loaded Tampa team? |

Stamkos at 5v5 is a shell of his former self. He is mostly carried by the PP at this point.
Kucherov didn’t even play at all this season.
Brayden Point is Patrice Bergeron level defence that averages a point a game.
Guy has 14 goals in 17 playoff games this year.
What more does he have to prove ?

LOL 😅😂😂😂😂😅
You called Point's defensive abilities Patrice Bergeron level. What's Eichel's defensive abilities?
Especially considering the poop sack team the Sabres have been while Point's been part of a juggernaut lineup. |

Eichel’s defensive numbers are inflated due to the fact he played 21 games in 2021 in a system that made offence non-existent.
Jesus Christ even Skinner had awesome defensive numbers this year but I bet you won’t post that RAPM.
So we have a player in Point that drives offence at a higher rate and has just as good expected goals against that plays in a much higher up tempo system.
Is Kucherov a legend ? Absolutely.
Would Eichel put up better offensive numbers in Tampa ? Absolutely.
Brayden Point is the heart of a Tampa team that is one goal away from another Stanley Cup final. |

Jesus Christ, Point has also played with arguably the best defenseman and best goaltender. Who has Eichel played with in that regard? Makes no difference, eh? |

People who dont watch the Bolts underestimate hos good Point is.
I'm not sure who has better Zone Entry w Possession numbers, but they are both elite level.
I never said Point was better, but certainly just as good..that RAPM was surprising how much better of a clutch performer Pointer was...and it us stunning how good of a playoff performer he is.
I wouldn't see them trading Point for Jack. And certainly not Kouch either. Stammer for Jack, surely.

So we are going to diminish what Point has accomplished because of it ?
RAPM’s are individual statistics that the individual brings to the team.
Point is just as influential for Kucherov’s success that Kucherov is to his.
The guy has 36 playoff goals, 69 points in total in 61 games. 9 game goal streak.
I’m judging from your tone that you are inferencing that Point is the cart being pulled by the horse. I see Point has the horse. If he was the cart, Stamkos would have never moved to the wing |

This. He may be lacking as a captain but the kid has carried this franchise on his back for the last few years. |

Point > Eichel as of today.
Eichel on a good team changes that as I don’t think RAPM is anywhere near perfect as accounting for teammates in their model |

Kudos to the Isles. They played well.
If they can cheap shot Point out of the game like they did Kucherov and tried to against Stamkos they have a good shot in game 7 |

Problem with arguing about team strength is that the Bolts are as good as they are partly because of Point. He’s a play driver. Not a passenger |
