Because people they have interviewed are now saying they have no idea what is going on.

Edit i forgot, you are the guy who believes in everything the Sabres do and feel that if they haven't interviewed me yet for teh head coach job then they arn't doing their job.

It said "A" person. One person.

Perhaps it's someone that didn't impress them. If you interviewed for a job and didn't impress them, do you think you're getting a call to say, no thanks?

Every interview i have been on or job i have applied for I have gotten at least an email saying we are going in another direction so yes.

It also said a source involved, not particularly a coach they interviewed.

Nobody knew Hakstol was getting hired until 15 minutes ago.

I am the last person to give credit to the Pegulas or KAGM for anything, however not having our entire coaching search known to the public is not something I’m going to bash them for either

I don't need it to be public. I need them to pick a direction and go with it.

There is a lot to do this offseason, and getting a coach would sure as poop help that.

I've never been part of an interview process where we all go that guy is good we like him, but lets wait a few months in case someone else better comes along.

Let me clarify some things (not that it matters to you, but I want to clear the air).

I tend to be an optimistic type, especially with my sports teams. I live just outside Buffalo, after all.

On the same hand, I also disagree with them not hiring a POHO, but I don't believe for one second that Kim is sitting there "instructing" the GMs we've had who to trade for, who to draft, who to sign, etc. She's not poring thru the Hockey News yearbook pointing at players on other teams, saying, "What about him? He's cute!" Are the GMs keeping the owners in the loop? Well, duh.

I also don't blame Adams for the last decade. I'm going to let the man do his job. He'll be judged in another year, two, but I'm not going to second guess every "supposed" move or non-move he makes right now because ONE GUY posts something on Twitter to get a rise out of people. Very little leaks out of that arena, unlike when Murray was in charge.

We can disagree, and that's fine.

I'd rather they take their time and get it right

it could be something as simple as eichel refusing to play for don, and once jack is traded don will be announced as head coach

Kudos to the Isles. They played well.

If they can cheap shot Point out of the game like they did Kucherov and tried to against Stamkos they have a good shot in game 7

- sbroads24

Kucherov you mean the dirtiest player in the NHL today? That same Kucherov that took a run at a guy and got stood up and everyone is crying bloody murder?

Since when you guys are slabbing that Tampa Bay knob so hard?

It’s very bizarre.

You would think this would be a universally accepted approach for a team that has gotten little right in the past 10 years, or 15, whatever.

Also I don't think Eichel is that big of a poopbag. He just hates being part of a rudderless franchise.

Fans of bad teams don't like to see other teams that were similarly bad go and get better and have some success while their team continues to flounder. They're miserable and they want others to feel the same way. Not all fans but each base has their fair share of lunatics who think like that. Including many on this board

I have more resentment towards Vegas fans who have never stared into the abyss and had the void enter their very hockey soul.

But that's just me

I was rooting for Colorado to win the cup this year personally. They stunk for the better part of the decade too.

To each their own though right.

You mean the lunatics that chanted Frank you Stamkos after belting his head into the glass and chucked Bud Lights on to the ice ?

They have taken their time.

I don’t think they are going to find a better candidate than what they have interviewed.

Pick a guy and get structured.

You have 10 guys signed and a lot of RFAs/UFAs to sign. It might help to know who is going to be running the show.

Yup like I said every fan base has them. I was at the game last night and I didn't throw anything and I didn't tell Stamkos to go fack himself either, though I don't see the connection between fans chanting at an opposing player and what I posted earlier but to each his own, right?
