I think Tojo is underselling how bad it actually was. I forget which Islander player it was, but he was afraid to skate for the stars of the game. It was those Bud Lite beer bottle cans, too, not just like regular old cans.

Thing was the Isles players didn't seem to appreciate it. Clutterbuck had to swat one away that almost hit him. Beauvillier even mentioned during his post game interview he kept looking to make sure he didn't get hit.

I probably didn't paint enough of a picture. It looked a little dangerous to their own team. Imagine saluting your fans while they are throwing metal cans at you.

A bunch of them were throwing beer cans on the ice after the game winner.
