I hear you. It's not just that. I pop in this morning to see how pumped everyone is about taking this to game 7 and it's two full pages of thread tourists telling us why we should be dressed in all black and mourning today
To your point, my dad took me to an Isles-Rangers game at the Coliseum on St. Patrick's Day when I was like 10. Any chance there was of me going all in on defending the class of NY hockey fans died that day among the 8,000 fist fights over kids and thrown objects I witnessed I'd still love to go to one more game in that madhouse. - UIF
The game was friggin awesome by the way. The atmosphere was insane.. Mayfield's goal almost blew the roof off the place. |

I actually think they’re more then that. I’ve been to some playoff games I didn’t even look at what they cost? Either way I’m not throwing it on the ice |

Well if you went to an isles/Rangers game in the 70’s, 80’s, or 90’s you went into it fully knowing that it was going to be a complete, total, shat show - Cptmjl
Exactly. And especially on St. Patrick's Day.
I remember at the end of the game the arena announcer says, "And now for tonight's stars of the game..." and a guy behind us yells, "The security guards!" |

It looked like Shoulder to me when he went after Barzal and missed.

That is brutal. I wonder how our second line would be without Nelson? Or the fourth line without Czikas who took a crosscheck from this same POS with three minutes left in an 8-0 game. |

I don't hate the Lightning by any means, in fact a few of my favorite non-Islander players are on their team. But I absolutely loathe Kucherov since I saw him, in the same game (in person), egregiously slewfoot Mayfield and crosscheck Leddy in the neck/spine when he was down on his knees behind the net. I have not one iota of sympathy for anything bad that happens to him. |

Exactly don't forget the multiple slashes on Pageau last year on that empty net goal |

I was at game and went from ecstatic to angry.. WTF are u idiots doing? They were throwing full $17 beers at their own guys.. continued to do it for the 3 stars of the game. It's always Younger kids that are just morons... but it was truly absurd. Isles and coaches handled it well but it was really friggin dumb. - niteislander
I was disappointed at that ending. Disgusting and distasteful |

How many different blogs are you still complaining about the Isles? - Isles
Why do you care?
I didn't comment on this until I read a bunch of NYI fans brushing it off as nothing. But whatever. |

It's funny, typically when players get crosschecked they generally go down from the impact of the check and the typically sensitive location of where the crosscheck landed. In this case, Kuch continued to play as he proceeded to the other end of the ice where he made an awkward attempt to hit Barzal. I'm not convinced the crosscheck was the cause of the injury. |
