As far as I know the qualifying offer needs to be +10% of the last year of the contract, but I could be wrong. Even if they're starting at 9, I'd think he would want a raise to 10 minimum, much like Point. Who knows how it will all play out with the pandemic etc but I think I like marner at 10.9 more than Tkachuk at 10. - 13sundin13
The qualifying offer is calculated from the players base salary (NHL salary minus signing bonus), and at minimum must meet the seasons minimum salary requirements:
110% of the base salary if the base salary is less than or equal to $660,000
105% of the base salary if the base salary is greater than $660,000 or less than $1,000,000. However, this qualifying offer cannot exceed $1,000,000.
100% of the base salary if the base salary is equal to or greater than $1,000,000. |

Ah cool, thanks, so 9 is the QA?
Still not sure I'd rather have Tkachuk at 9ish than Marner at 10.9 but it's very close. Maybe if he can get back to the point per game and 35-40 goal pace. |

They only have to qualify at that number, he couold sign sooner for less, or even after if he wants a longer contract. |

Got an AZ shot at the end of April… 36 hours of flu like symptoms.
Got a Pfizer shot yesterday… Felt even worse today.
Restlessness, aches, fever, chills. - .HOHO.
WTF? thought 2nd dose was supposed to have less side-effects.
And I'm supposed to et Pfizer too - but I thought shipments were delayed.

Sometimes knowing when to do nothing is the best move you can make. Lets be honest most ppl think isles will finish last every year and every year they are widely successful |

I really doubt the only player to have a good playoff performance with the best cap hit is on the way out.
Leafs only problem in balancing out the roster is Cap. You don't get rid of the best valued player to do that. - underhill14

Im pretty sure with Pfizer and Moderna, the second dose was the one with the higher chance of laying you down for a bit.
I was supposed to get Pfizer (that's what I had first), when I got there they gave me Moderna and today I feel like I fell off a building. |

WTF?!
Why is there such a variance in post vax symptoms?
My first- Pfizer - nothing, like nothing.
My second on Monday - Moderna, less than nothing.
Weird. |

Tkachuk easily to me makes the Leafs not only better but nastier and way better on the PP. He doesn't need to score to be effective, which is key.. him in front makes more room for 34 / 16 and Willy out there.
He would drive Marchand absolutely nuts. It would be fantastic.
Dubas should do everything in his power to make the trade for MM ....
Tkachuk is exactly the kind of player Leafs have been missing. |

He doesnt have a great playoff record.
3 goals/5pts in 15 games..... - Fakepartofme
It would make us worse and alot slower. Compared to his brother he’s as slow as molasses. |

Okay, I'll bite.
Who are they trading Willie for?
I personally think a good trade for the Leafs would be Willie on the first line and little bytch on the second. |

I did read that because your immune system figures out how to fight the virus with the first shot, the second one can make you feel worse.
How well your immune system responds to infection is a good thing....and also responsible for some of the "sh1tty" you feel when you're sick. It's not just the flu that makes you feel crappy, it's your body fighting the flu too. Something like that.
Bottom line, 60% of the time it's good to feel like sh1t 100% of the time. |

I’m kidding, I don’t know.
I would bet they’d trade Nylander before Marner if they made/make a trade.
Nylander seems to be the guy who gets benched and gets the least amount of icetime.
Ice time/game this year for forwards.
Marner #1
Hyman 2.2m #4
Nylander #5
But I don’t care who they keep or trade, hopefully they make a good one if they do.
