And if they win the cup, they won't care.
Heck the leafs might struggle to make the playoffs

- Fakepartofme

Ottawa was very competitive against both the Leafs and Canadiens. Senators are a very physical team and they will be a year older. I think the Leafs have far too much skill and will be okay next regular season. If they are vulnerable, it is because they do not have enough grit. But that does not matter as much during the regular season as it does in the playoffs.

That's not like you spatso. And I don't believe I've ever been critical of a comment you made.

But wouldn't this comment be better suited to the Habs blog?

- MisterBrown

You've got a Canucks fan and a leafs troll pretending to be a Habs fan jizzing all over each other, spatso, and you. This entire page belongs in another blog.

This is the worst part about being a leaf fan.

Man, nothing like watching a team with heart walk into the finals. All I keep thinking is... “that should have been the Leafs”

Bunch of losers we are....

It needs to start now at the top by firing Dubas. What could go wrong hiring a barely pubescent boy with no NHL experience as a GM?

But alas, we all know we need to have 1 more epic collapse before that is going to happen.

No!

The worst part of being a Leaf fan is having to live with the false expectations promoted by MLSE and the media.

Rudely sack one of the best GM’s in history and replace him with a nobody because the new guys want to grow moustaches.
- Horsey Sauce

This is such a stupid comment.

Just take 10 seconds and look at what Lou did to get the Isles where they were. For starters it involved a lot of iffy contracts. That alone wouldn't have worked in Toronto, he never would have had the flexibility here that he does there.

Every team is unique as is every GM, you've got to have the mentality of a 6 year old to act like a GMs success on one team is easily transitioned to another.

It's like chastising someone for cutting off a finger and them not being smart enough to realize a toe could have done the job.

Oh that's bad for sure. The lingering obsessive poop stains from other fan bases who spend the majority of their lives talking about the leafs are even worse.

You'd think the worst part about being a leafs fan is cheering for a loser franchise that hasnt accomplished anything in 60 years with absolutely no end in sight to its constant failure.
At least you can ignore the trolls...the decades of failure for the this franchise is impossible to ignore.

How can you even say this? LOU is a friggin proven winner. Dubas has proved to be a loser. How can you defend what history has shown us is a mistake? I was worried about Lou as he has aged, and yes some of the contracts are questionable, but at least he knows how to construct an NHL hockey team. DUBAS MUST GO.

I understand that I have abused some of you very badly. But, most of you make it too easy for me.
- spatso

You misunderstand the reactions. Some people react strongly to the stupid proposals- Connor Brown for Marner. Some people react strongly to your smug superiority. If you want to interpret that as having abused us, go for it.

To whom do the Leafs replace Dave Hakstol with?

Does Paul MacLean move down from the eye in sky aka the press box?

So does this mean one of Holl or Dermott are definitely gone and Kerfoot stays?

Since Hakstol worked with the D, you would think he would have some input with Seattle's picks.

- underhill14

why would he want any of these soft as slime pencil neck losers?🤦🏿‍♂️

what a (frank)ing joke 🤦‍♂️

edit: nice alliteration 👍🏿

First, I think it would be foolish for the Leafs to trade Marner and I don't believe they will.

Second, I think the Connor Brown offer is very clever. It assumes that Brown who scored more goals than Marner can play effectively with Matthews. Second it assumes a cap saving of $7m for the Leafs.

And, third and most important, it includes a high second round pick (or maybe a 1st at #10) that would allow the Leafs to acquire the negotiation rights to sign Dougie Hamilton without having to let go of another Dman.
