I love that the Habs made it to the finals. I'm hoping they get the Islanders for the classic 1970s style final. I don't need to see the Lightning there again.

The problem with 2011 is that they weren’t exceeding anyone’s expectations. The run wasn’t a pleasant surprise, it was expectations met. Until it wasn’t.

My take is regular season results ppl think of it means deep run to win a cup. The other 2 runs ppl found excuses to knock the success.
So ‘11 was failure, ‘94 simply wasn’t appreciated enough & ‘82 simply got no credit & was a fluke as if fluking into the finals is easy. Every other good to great team fans said failure. Didn’t matter if Naslund was out or any other factors. ‘11 ppl easily forgot Burr & Kes had injuries & played. In the end many factions of Van fans are whiney & cannot enjoy or appreciate anything. They’ll cry or cite 50yrs or latch onto to something.

THE PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER: Sam Carchidi reports defensemen and goaltenders are on the offseason shopping list of Flyers GM Chuck Fletcher. He points out they gave up a league-leading 3.52 goals-against per game this season.
Carchidi believes Fletcher has “a long list of defensemen” on his radar. They include Columbus’ Seth Jones, Carolina’s Dougie Hamilton, Nashville’s Ryan Ellis, Minnesota’s Matt Dumba and Edmonton’s Adam Larsson.

Genuine question, do people use power forward to mean someone who scores and also throws some hits? I don't really see Miller as a guy who intimidates anyone physically or who forces people out of his way. He is physical when it comes to puck retrieval, but I don't think anyone is afraid of playing against him. - NorthNuck

Well at least he changed his allegiance from Canucks to Habs right from the start of the year. Most are jumping on board with every win now . Canucks Twitter is now Habs Twitter.
I was wondering the same damn thing, but it's clearly all about optics. League can't really control the fans outside of the arena.
