It's not awesome, it's actually quite stupid. But I'm sure it will be a rallying cry for some types to complain about their restricted freedoms. - Makita
I read something a little while back that rings true
"I learned that there are two types of people during this Pandemic.
1. Some people will do everything they can to protect themselves and those around them.
2. Some people will not inconvenience themselves, no matter how minor, to protect others or themselves."
I don't remember the exact words, but that was the gist of it.

I don’t get what that had to do with freedom anyway. If anything, the business owner has the freedom to set whatever hours they want. Forcing specific hours on businesses due to public demand doesn’t sound like freedom to me.

Apparently there’s a third kind who will follow the rules but complain about it non stop. Does that make them part of the whiner gang?
Haven't been following social media today but I think I heard Ryan Johnson has been confirmed as Abbys GM and coaching stall and assistants all returning.

31 thoughts was decent, little bit on the Sedins joining.
Henrik on Donny and Dhali this morning.
Two threads - lots to do but it isn’t as bad as (many) fans think.

Is Jim now looking over his shoulder? - 1970vintage
One thing I noticed was Daniel was on SN650 yesterday by himself and Hank was on Donnie and the other guy today. I am glad they are not sharing one brain and seem to be splitting up resources.
The thing about if the Sedins are the top guys then Jim bought two years. They need to learn the ropes.

What Jeff Marek was saying today is that it isn’t likely that Jim Benning was pushing for the twins to join the management team. If Jim/John have their eye on a free agent and FA asks “what do you think?” To Hank, and he doesn’t agree it the right move, what happens next?
It’s all speculation now. I’m not whining about the twins, or even Benning here. Just relaying what the media has been talking about.
I think it’s a good hire, if they have structured roles, learn one part of the business at a time.

There were some rumours/theories over the weekend, but I don’t think Jared Bednar is going anywhere. When the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks lost in the first round of the playoffs, owner Mark Cuban was asked if he’d change coaches. I liked his answer: “You don’t make a change to make a change,” he told ESPN’s Tim MacMahon. “Unless you have someone that you know is much, much, much better, the grass is rarely greener on the other side.”
Agree and disagree. Change for the sake of change often leads to similar results, but if you know that the person in question is the wrong fit, then waiting until someone better is “available” is the wrong move. You can’t actually complete a proper search until you are free of your existing agreement.
“I’m open to anything, willing to go anywhere,” he said Monday. “I have something to prove, and if anyone’s looking to bring in someone with a chip on their shoulder, I’d be the guy.”
Karl Alzner. Trains with players in Kelowna in the summer. Maybe he's willing to take a 700k deal to mentor the kids in Abbotsford.
