I think most of it has to do with the 4 year contracts owners hands out to coaches and to GM's normally. GM and coaches are also on pretty much year to year basis.

I will say I am surprised he is still here too.

I will also point out that in his time of GM multiple GMs have been fired. So singling him out as one of the worst?

Next I don't think there is a lot out there that hasn't been refurbished . The fact that Francesco is now growing his own product (management) I think this is a big step.
