I’m just saying this is a reminder that people won’t wait around for you to make up your mind, or hunt for a better option. So hopefully he has his ducks in a row.

It’s not about Bergy being “better”. In fact, it isn’t about him at all. I don’t care what other GM’s do or don’t do. I don’t care if they are good or should be fired. I don’t gauge the success of the Canucks relative to other teams.

Bergevin is a gunslinger GM, not afraid of making a bold move. That's not in JB's makeup. We'll see if he proves me wrong this summer.

The reality is most of the core is 20 -23 years old. When Petey and Hughes get closer to 25-26 is probably when this team will take it's run.

Sure, I get that, I cheered for them as a kid as well.

I look at it geographically myself, spending lots of time in Seattle. Plus it's only a short drive from here.

I have no connection to any of the remaining teams.

- VanHockeyGuy

totally. i've always considered seattle the "home" team in other sports, namely nfl and mlb.

it'll be interesting to see how the emotions will go once they're up and running. right now i feel as though i want to cheer for them (to be good but not as good as the canucks) but i have a feeling the animosity will ramp up quickly.

Anybody thinks that lefty-righty D is over blown.

Vegas can thank that first goal on a left handed D playing the right side and not being on his forehand by the boards.

159 people still missing in that building collapse in Miami. Ugly video.

How does that sh!t actually happen...is building maintenance so slack there that no structural issues are caught? I know the Ocean/sea air does long term damage to certain types of concrete but wow man looks like a bomb went off in the parking lot

The last time JB was rumoured to go full gunslinger was when he allegedly offered a 1st(Dubois) Horvat and Taney for Subban!

It worked for Bergie this year but hasn't always . Third chance is a charm? It also didn't work for Treliving this year.

Yeah, if only the team had a management group who could recognize this and plan accordingly…

Eight weeks ago on Cap Friendly you would not believe how many proposals there were to trade Price and Weber

They're the experts, the actions or lack thereof this summer will probably be JB's last chance. I won't lose any sleep over it either way. I did hear somewhere that season ticket sales aren't going to well right now.

Difference is they are contributing . Meanwhile there's Eriksson, Beagle & Roussel. Why would anyone want to add another bad deal this summer?

The buried Karl Alzner in the minors , they had Drouin and his 5.5 x 2 sitting in the press box and now on LTIR. They had a few NHL players sent down to Laval the previous year. They put Paul Byon on waivers 3 times this year and Tomas Tatar and his 5.3 mil has played in only 5 playoff games and missed games as a healthy scratch .

Some in here are totally against trading Miller ever but what did MTL do, they traded Patches.

They took on a bad contract in Steve Mason to get Joel Armia. Bought out Mason.

So lets start the Miller trades up again.

What would you propose? Miller fits pretty good here and put up a 70+ point season in an 82 game sched. I'd hold off for now see how it all fits with Pods next year. Unless the return for Miller was huge but not likely with JB lol

Today Miller is going back home to where he belongs. Texas.....

Really good situation for them anyways. He wants to play Center they could use him.

Pavelski only has 1 year left. They are more win now.

Go big and ask for Gurianov and Ty Dellandrea.

Ty Dellandrea and a 2nd round pick this year. Probably more reasonable.
