I wonder how many Leaf fans will switch allegiance to Buffalo starting next season (provided the border opens)? I’ve heard a lot of long time Leaf fans saying “they’re done” after the last playoff disaster.

Buddy, I know this is going to be hard but can you get off Tom Macdonald's nuts for a little while? The horse died long ago and your posts will be better for it.

I like having him post those poopty music videos, easier to see who's posting and just skip them

If the canucks add OEL by getting rid of Myers, it will be a massive mistake.

Myers 3 more years at 6aav
OEL 6 more years at 8.25aav

OEL has also regressed like crazy the last 3 years. I'd 100% rather keep Myers and let him play out 3 more years, unless it's Myers for OEL and 50% retained and a high pick coming back to us.

Why is this still a thing? Canucks are NO longer interested in OEL

Because Benning is still the GM, so however stupid something seems, you know there's a chance he's still interested

Cause and effect. Give out term and aav to free agents who are now anchoring this team from being competitive, then live with the consequences. LE, Beagle, virtanen, roussell will continue to hold this team back from getting better and being better. Time to let those contracts expire and start fresh next season.
- Codes1087

That ship has sailed about standing by and doing nothing. The GM even said as late as today it is going to be active.

The fan base says do nothing as the correct answer but two weeks into that plan the media ,the fans , the city and the entire league would be mocking the Canucks.

It is not going to happen so I would suggest fans buckle their seat belts it is going to be a hell of a ride.

You can't fix the D , the bottom 6 and upgrade the top 6 by standing by . Sorry Codes I disagree.

I'll believe it when i see it.
That's just LEaf's fans being dramatic imo.
Like Americans promising to move to CAnada if so and so is elected president.

As well, when any Swede is going to come up as a free agent or potentially available in a trade, you'll hear about 'the Sedin factor'

I remember how far everyone thought Montreal was from competing, and how dumb it was with them making the moves they did this last off season. One win from the SCF... personally I think we are at the point to make moves to move cap and bring in young players that improve us to compete now. If we get young guys 26 or under, we still have time to restock before they get too old.

Just like to go on the record and say I had Mtl in the top end of the North division in my pre season predictions.

But i did not expect them to do this well with VGK.

I seem to recall some lamenting their lack of C depth.

They're my 2nd fave team and i'm rooting for them.

Get ready for a summer of Landeskog, OEL, Larsson, Hjalmarsson, Erik Gustafsson, Patrik Nemeth, and more!

CAm Robinson said in the last 25 years only 1 team has won a cup with a win percentage under .600

That was LA.

Honestly, I would go after Debrusk, Reinhart, resign Hamonic and dangle OJ for a righty. Maybe try something around OJ + for Debrusk and Carlo.

Source? I haven't heard/read anything to say that we are/aren't.

As far as why it's still a thing, I'm not sure, I didn't bring it up

Look at how we all mocked Toronto for giving up a first for marleaus contract. Or a first for Foligno and they collapsed. It doesn't matter if Benning stays quiet and plays out those anchoring contracts, or if he's active and mortgages the future to get rid of contracts and be more competitive now, he will hear it no matter what.

Again, I don't think this team can be competitive with roussel, LE, Beagle, virtanen, and our defense. Until those contracts expire, I just don't see it.
