I would agree with some of the points being made but this was a slugfest marathon. I didn't get to see the whole game buy the Islanders looked fatigued. Tampa has what the Islanders have with a couple more high end pieces. It pains me to say this but the Isles did a legit job pushing them to the brink.
It'll be interesting to see where they go from here. - JRR1285
Well the, “we made it this far” crowd should want a Komarov player on every line I would think so we should be 20 million under the salary cap and be a big player at the TDL. |

I thought Barry coached scared this series. You cannot beat an elite team like this playing in your own zone . The more time you spend in the Tampa zone the less elite players like Kucherov, Point, and Stamos can kill you. The style the Isles play is draining and it relies too much on the defense and goalies. |

Remember Lee is back and maybe Casey leaves and Zajac takes that spot and wally gets a full time role. At the end of the day they didn't have (or choose to play) their top two scorers |

Exactly right. Rangers dealt with this when their window was open as well. Lightning hawks kings at the time just had more top end players than the rangers |

There was way to much playing not to lose tonight going on. They lost on a short handed goal with three Islander players on one Tampa player. That’s (frank)ing absurd. |

Until Wally makes one mistake. Team needs to find offensive playmakers in the worst way. |

They’ve been showcasing him for the last three months as a first line player. I mean according to a few posters on here there should be teams clamoring for his services. |

The Rangers thought they had those guys but they always seemed to dry up at the wrong time. Brad Richards and Nash did everything but score those clutch goals. |

Barry was disappointed in Barzal last game. Barry should man up and taker some blame tonight. |

I have been saying this and a few Washington fans have said this his lineup decisions are mind blowing. To keep wahlstrom on the bench is stupidity at its finest. If he is injured I understand but if he is healthy it's a fireable offense |

I get what you're saying and we (Rangers fans) have been there. Sometimes you have to give credit to the other team and realize it wasn't just your team not playing how they needed to play. It was also the other team keeping them from doing so. |

“I never heard our fans this loud before.” Stamkos said when referring to Kucherov being out for warmups.
Hey Steve were they waving their noise makers really crazy? |

If anything, I’ll give Varly a lot of credit tonight. He was very calm back there and he definitely didn’t deserve to lose. |

Trotz said that was one of Barzal’s best games as an Islander. Think you’re getting mixed up. |

Tampa played great but the islanders didn’t push back enough. Period. The team is better then what we saw tonight. |

No question Tampa is elite and the better team but this Islander game tonight does not come close to cutting out. I did not see the players or coaches giving their all tonight. The 3rd line was not a factor the entire series and the 4th line are not big scorers and the 1st line has Leo. I would not say a word about coaching if Wally was given a shot and Palms was played on the 1st line. Barry does these simple things and he would have done everything he could. |

Varlamov looked so cool and collected. He almost willed you guys to a victory.
I can't tell you how many times we said the same about Hank. He got them to places they didn't deserve to be in. |
