Well, I have a Game-7 superstition that everyone here should enjoy.
It is : I am never online right before or during a game seven.
Don't ask. It doesn't make sense. But you won't hear a peep from me tonight.

watching the replay of the game yesterday was a riot. they literally said, " Kucherov who got hurt on a hit by Mayfield" almost every 3 minutes. it's truly amazing that they just ran with that narrative for the rest of the game and after it... He did not get hurt on the cross check. He hurt himself trying to hit Barzal and missed. .. then to constantly talk about Mayfield not getting a penalty. Tampa cross checked Islanders every friggin shift. when Leo got called for a Hand Pass he was on the ground getting cross checked 5 times in a row... it's comical.
the other nonstop is bringing up the Beers being tossed on the ice. That was 100% absurd and it should never happen again.. Isles fans should punch kids (b/c that is who they are) right in the mouth if they do that again.. could hurt a kid in the lower seats.
that said you had Habs fans flipping cop cars last night and not a peep.
eff them all... GO Isles!! keep annoying the sht out of everyone by continuing to win. |

I don’t know if this has been posted yet or if it is a good source but

No NHL supplemental discipline for
@NYIslanders
defenseman Scott Mayfield on the cross-check to Nikita Kucherov of
@TBLightning
in Game 6. Kucherov left the game after one shift and did not return. - David_Volek
Only thing bad is if Mayfield touches anyone tonight these guys are going to call a penalty. Just want the refs to let them play.

Kucherov uncertain for Game 7 of Semifinals for Lightning
https://www.nhl.com/news/...c-325448744?tid=325280136
Kucherov left Game 6 after his first shift, 2:22 into the first period. He appeared to jam his right arm or shoulder checking Islanders center Mathew Barzal. He struggled to finish the shift and went to the locker room with a Lightning trainer at the stoppage in play. |

At least the NHL news got it right that he was injured checking Barzal and not from Mayfield's cross check. |

It won't matter to NBC. I put the over/under of how many times they mention it and blame Mayfeild at 30. |

They've already immortalized it with a statue outside of the new arena.

Nice of the Islanders to include the Arab community on the statue |

I guess NBC and the fake news media didn’t get a hold of the NHL yet. |

Hate him or not, one thing that is for certain about Kucherov is his drive. The guy is driven. And he's keenly aware of being embarassed or letting the team down. Whenever that happens, he is a force in subsequent games. It's like a good goalie who has a bad start - they usually have a strong showing afterwards.
If Kucherov plays, he will be hell on wheels. If he doesn't play, then he has only himself to blame - he shouldn't have been out throwing hits with his recently-repaired body. Mayfield's cross-check is irrelevant. Whether Mayfield's check hurt him previously or not is besides the point. He shouldn't have been throwing the body, regardless. The Lightning have other players better suited to throw checks than Kuch. |

Yea I don't think there's any (sane) Islander fans that don't recognize that the guy is an unreal talent and one of the top players in the league. I've already made my personal feelings on the guy known so I won't beat that one to death...but it's undeniable he's a supremely-talented player in this league. |

He’s an incredible player he’s just a whiner and dirty player himself. You want to play with an edge that’s fine but if you play with an edge and whine you become annoying imo. With that said he’s still a game changer. I read something he didn’t practice and was out for tonight? Maybe it was bs? We won’t know one way or the other if he plays till puck drop. If he does play he better be looking over his shoulder. If I were coach we would be running him all night… |

Nothing definitive yet. Local sources are still in the dark.
I expect Cooper is going to wait until the last minute to spring it on us all.

I wouldn't be surprised if he tries to play. If he does, he'll be wearing one hell of a bullseye on that left shoulder |
