Legit productivity from top 9 or at the least a commitment to stick it out assuming less money spent on D.
Special teams are a huge focus.
Team D is a must.
Speed & tenacity on puck hounding needs to be a priority to go along with better possession.

So much is predicated on how JB & company reshape the cap &/or moves doing such.

Which is why Benning has to acquire a legit top 6 winger for that to work. Garland is is an example of one guy who fits the bill, but who knows what the asking price is.
