Those are his assets, including the Bills and Sabres. Not saying he's hurting, at all, but he doesn't have $5.4B in cash laying around. - Wetbandit1
Owning a money-printing franchise in the NFL is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up

I don't have doubts that they'll "address" the goaltending. It remains to be seen what type of team will be out in front of said goalie(s).
If we're going young, I expect many mistakes. But maybe youthful exuberance makes up for a few of those?
I'm just hoping for a new "core" that I can get excited for the future about again. - Powerslave
I agree they will address goalie. I just have doubts that it will be noticeable upgrades. No one good is going to sign in Buffalo. It will end up being some goalie betting on himself like dregger |

I think the Pegulas will be fine monetarily in any scenario. If the Bills win a Superbowl then Terry will be a superhero.
I am curious to see how hard the Pegulas shake down the tax payers for a modern shrine in the form of a stadium. I'd love to see them fund 75% of it |

You are probably right on the bills. Where they hurt for money is the building the new stadium. But I bet like you said they shake down the city to get the stadium back in Buffalo. Or orchard park to keep it there. But in that scenario Buffalo should have the more capabilities I would think. But I haven’t lived in the area for 20 years and nothing about the politics of that area |

I think there's a league wide issue here. If the Pegulas fund the majority of a stadium, a precedent will be set, and I am not sure the other 31 owners want that. They need to show the municipalities "need" them, not the other way around. |

He did. No doubt.
Without Eichel. And he was missing a legit NHL goalie. - Powerslave
Does that 9-19 record lead you to believe another nhl team is gonna steal donnie from us? Before we make the decision, which is clearly happening in the near future.
Do the players and a fresh voice respond to change regardless of the coach?
I like Donnie. I like them all though. Except phail lousley. |

If it stays in Orchard Park, Erie County will be bent over. Polancarz has shown repeatedly that he can grandstand with the best of them, but make no mistake, he has zero spine to speak of. |

The Bills have been a cash-cow since the Super Bowl teams, even when we missed the playoffs for 76 years straight.
The Sabres have always been a fair-weather team. That's why it was so important that we made the playoffs 29 times in our first 40 seasons. The money it brought in kept the team operational and in Buffalo. The Pegulas are the only reason they are here still at this point, because they've completely run the franchise into the ground. |

Honest to god, the best idea would be for the Pegulas to buy the McKinley Mall, demolish that and build a new stadium there while the Bills continue to play in Rich Stadium. |

I’d prefer they just assume Richardson will be staying with Montreal like Brind Amour stayed with the Canes and the Chief stayed with the Blues. Let Donnie get his coaches and hopefully that includes Girardi. Start operating like time is of the essence before it is. - Hatboro_Swords
Wouldnt the current interm coach Ducharme take the job? Richardson is temporarily replacing such because of covid I believe?
Richardson is an nhl veteran with an extensive ahl coaching record and has been mentioned years ago.
Pegula's apparently interviewed him a few coaches ago.
Donnie's agent is in contact with kagm. Everyone is on. Iard and understands the process. He has his coaches on stand bye and will probably not be girardi , unless he was really impressed.
Donnie has connections and could bring in top teachers for the squad.
B34 - you heard it here 1st.
Sabres hire kammi granato as assistant coach.

Problem solved, demolish that campus and build the stadium there while playing across the street. Donate money to expand the North campus and write it off on your taxes, Terry. Everyone wins. |

I see that being the most likely case. Ecc.
Went to a Yankees game when both stadiums were standing next to each other.
You think there's a likely chance of playing a season or 2 at penn state or Toronto? |

I like Donnie, but his name hasnt come up anywhere in regards to a nhl head coaching job.
Our standards as Sabres fans is ridiculously low.
He went 9-19 and you're worried about him being snagged right in front of our eyes.
He's been with the Sabres since 2019 and they probably know him well. Well enough to give him a shot at head coach...
There could be a better coach available.
Luke Richardson has just coached his team into the cup
Vs 9-19 🤔 - Boss34
Exactly!!
Krueger 28 gms .286 with 18 gm losing streak
Granato 28 gms .385 Only plus is he moved Sam to center and trusted the kids more
I still prefer an experienced guy behind the bench

Wasted money then, I mean the Kats Stadium is there and just over a year ago the refurbished the gym there and made it a 12,000 Sq ft indoor sports facility. |

I like Donnie, too. No, I'm not and have never been worried that he'll be "stolen" from us. And I'm not one of those on here who thinks Adams is incompetent because he's taking his time. He may ultimately prove his incompetence in other ways, lol, but taking your time on your first official NHL hire isn't a problem for me. He can take another month for all I care.
Just. Get. it. Right.

I don't need a coach hired tomorrow either, but if Granato is the guy, you have to know it by now. It seems disingenuous if nothing else. |
