I see that being the most likely case. Ecc.
Went to a Yankees game when both stadiums were standing next to each other.
You think there's a likely chance of playing a season or 2 at penn state or Toronto? - Boss34
I think it would be a mistake to go Toronto or Penn St. Especially since ecc already said it can't support its current facilities. I thought I heard somewhere they were talking a stadium where the seats are covered but it's open air. The hockey arena will be a request soon too I would think... |

It's a rumor. Maybe it's not the entire campus. Who knows? - buffalofan19
I know, it was talked about on here maybe last week, I guess it could happen, just think it would be difficult. Still have all those houses going down Big Tree Rd on the backside of the College. People who own property on Abbott Rd that park cars there. Guess we just wait and see. Definitely would be interesting. |

I don't need a coach hired tomorrow either, but if Granato is the guy, you have to know it by now. It seems disingenuous if nothing else. - buffalofan19
I agree, but Adams has a LOT on his plate (he's got his country's 500th anniversary to plan, his captain to trade, his captain's co-pilot to trade, his wedding to arrange, his wife to murder, and Guilder to frame for it. He's swamped).
Hopefully he sheds some light (if Granato's interim tag is removed) on why the announcement took so long. |

Wasted money then, I mean the Kats Stadium is there and just over a year ago the refurbished the gym there and made it a 12,000 Sq ft indoor sports facility. - Buff36

Maybe...I'm pretty cynical when it comes to things like that. Taxpayers usually foot most of the bill. |

I always thought that the likelihood of other locations had more to do with the lease with the county being a one-off more than location/space problem. I have to think they can work something out. Until something concrete happens, I am going to assume Toronto and Happy Valley are just brainstorming for options if a worst case scenario occurs, and nothing more. |

Why Jerry Jones paid for most of his new stadium. Taxpayers only paid 325mill of it. And the Pegula's supposedly have hired a Company owned by Jones to help with planning. |

Arlington also has a pretty robust stadium tax, plus the breaks they got. It's more than $325 million.

I like Donnie, too. No, I'm not and have never been worried that he'll be "stolen" from us. And I'm not one of those on here who thinks Adams is incompetent because he's taking his time. He may ultimately prove his incompetence in other ways, lol, but taking your time on your first official NHL hire isn't a problem for me. He can take another month for all I care.

I would hate to not go to "home" games when we are finally good -
The arena is really outdated and dirty. I'm not sure what the end game is? Always thought a dual downtown, public funded massive infrastructure attached to the harbor center. Or outer harbor? |

I agree, but the pegula's did put up unprecedented money into the harbor center.
The pegula's are a different situation IMO.
They are surely going to want restaurants ect.
Gotta pay to play....

If itâs up to me, the stadium would be built on the northwest corner of 5 and 77. Kitty corner to Kim Pegula is a Brickhouse Corner. Cashless Tolls just opened the door to a thruway exit into the stadium parking lot. Only way the facility survives is by maxing out the seats, youâre not making revenue from luxury suites no matter where u put it. If you drop, the capacity to like 50,000 so you can put it in the city, there will be a lot of empty seats. No offense, but downtown Buffalo isnât very nice. Place never changes. Just gets older more run down looking. Itâs like listening to the Edge, which I do from time to time. Theyâre playing the same songs that were played when I left.

I see Arlington paid 325m, Jerry paid 875m and the NFL gave 150m, maybe taxes are different in some way, but Jerry still flipped a lot of money into it. But it could be a lot different for the Pegulas, maybe they won't want to put as much money in because they aren't gonna host 200-300 different events a year in a Stadium around here. |

Downtown tailgating sucks. I prefer California Ave myself. Sucked they closed off stadium access to those lots. Walking down and up the ravine really provided a good gauge for how baked you were before going into the game. |

Iâm sure there will be A LOT of taxpayer $$$ involved in the new stadium
Thatâs just the way it goes
And itâll likely be downtown
Which will be sweet |

Pandemic probably being part of the failure.
The labatt house is really cool. Great place to tailgate.
I agree with the atmosphere in op vs. Downtown.
The bars would be packed, but tailgating would probably still exist.
They do currently allow tailgating in the op stadium lots, maybe nothing would change? |
