The city refuses to admit the Skyway was a mistake by: "Improving" the skyway
The arena is in a back-corner, seedy part of the city right next to some wonderful project towers, sorry, "income-based apartments, and only a few blocks from the famous Perry projects, actual projects.
Back behind the arena going towards Tift is where they did the right thing. That area looks fantastic now, going over the steel grate bridge.
No Stadium would fit there, let alone work. - 3rd GM's the charm
The Outer Harbor is the only place you could retro-fit it probably, and even that would not be ideal. There is nothing wrong with Orchard Park. You could build a palace there if you wanted to. It won't be, nor should it, but it would absolutely work if you felt like shooting for the moon.

You could have done the perfect thing with Route 5 coming into downtown, and I have no idea what that would be, and a stadium would still be a nightmare downtown.

I’m not aware of any access that would be more efficient than a limited access highway straight to your front porch.

it's a nightmare any way you slice it. - TheHank
Exactly. There is no better location than the northwest corner of Route 5 and 77 outside of OP in my mind. OP vs there. Those are the only options I would explore.
putting it downtown would be a colossal waste of money. there is nothing sweet about it. The game day atmosphere would suck down there.
They cant have events for 75000 people outside of football games until the hotel room count goes up ten fold in Erie county anyways making that point totally moot. I'm just wasting my breath as I am sure people that own multiple businesses and rental properties throughout town already know all of this anyways. - TheHank

Are you talking about 5 and 20A? Because 5 and 77 meet in Pembroke near Darien Lake about an hour from Orchard Park.

I’m talking about the northwest corner of 5 and 77. Exit 48A. Accustomed to concert traffic that I would imagine generates similar traffic as a Bills game for traffic on 5 and 77 since majority of traffic going going to concerts is coming from the Thruway and 5 and 77 won’t see any of that traffic with direct thruway access. Geography wise might be perfect. Accesswise excellent. State gains a boost in tolls on game days/events?

nope. you just never leave the comfort of your mom's basement and keep telling everyone how much places you've never been to suck. keep posting terrible takes online and after someone tells you how and why it's a terrible take just respond with something like "I dont care anyways" so you can keep telling mom how you win every argument. - TheHank

I might go to one game a year. For some reason every decision that is made about this stadium is important to me. I’m afraid they can lose the Bills and if that happens, I stop watching NFL, not cheer for whatever city they relocate to. I really don’t like Jerry Jones’ influence either. He has no allegiance to Buffalo.

Hank is the one with the toothpick.
Can't wait to get reported for something you started but cool job getting people banned. You literally are the guy drinking the champagne in this clip.
