For me, game 1 is over. Was a poopshow, whatever.
Tampa played a solid game, and if you think about it, they out habbed the Habs - playing a style the Habs have played to get to the finals. I think it is safe to say they were not ready for Tampa in game 1, and I think the 5-1 score was somewhat flattering - imagine if Price did not make those amazing stops?
What really matters is if they make the proper adjustments for game 2 and play their game. If the Habs come out like they are just-happy-to-be-there and continue to play tentatively, then this series is over.
They need to be aggressive in every facet of the game - especially the forecheck and the zone breakouts.
Still reserving judgement. |

Well they did miss the net quite alot trying to shoot it high on Vasilevsky.
Kinda like how Vegas would miss the net trying to land a perfect shot on Price.
Just get it on net, go for a rebound if it's there! Vasilevsky's only weakness is he tends to lose sight of the puck when it bounces in front of him. - Scabeh
Not sure a guy with a .936sv% has a "weakness"
Only guys with better sv%'s are Quick's Cup/Conn Smythe, Giguere's Conn Smythe, Thomas' Cup and Conn Smythe and Hasek. |

Fair enough, but if you are not hitting the net with your shots, does not matter what his save percentage is...

Not a great gig, but there are only 32 spots and if Arizona actually pays their employees, he's making a (frank) ton more than he would in Ottawa or riding the buses in the AHL. |

I get what you're saying.
But if there's one place I'd avoid going as a coach when I finally get my "big break".
It's the poopshow in Arizona.

way too tentative...almost too respectful of Tampa...there was an element missing in the Habs game last night and you could tell it was confidence...they have it....they will find it..they have a lot of reasons to be happy they are in the finals...but they deserve it too...they just need to play like it in game 2...#gohabsgo!....

I'd take 3 terrible years (if they are) and 5 mil in the bank over waiting another few years slogging in the O or being an assistant in the NHL making 500k. |
