Wanna keep Schneider. Thinking he will be Troubas replacement eventually. That right side could be awfully small - mdw7413
Robertson / Schneider, I believe could be one of the best all around d-pairings in the league. Id love for the organization to keep these 2 kids together through their development. |

I think if they do trade Lundkvist, it will only be part of a package for a star, like the Eichel trade

Jack Eichel's agent to me: "We have definitely been communicating with the team and we are heading towards a resolution."

The team will fund the purchase of a new spine, most likely |

They should look to package in a heart while they're shopping. |

We trade for him, hes out for the year but miraculously comes back for the playoffs. Meanwhile we make additional pickups at C like a Bonino and Kuraly. |

Cant wait for the GM of the Lightning to expose the Rangers to the NHL. |

This is the kind of deal I was saying the Rangers should make. Trade with a team that can't protect all their guys and send either picks or exempt players back. Protecting Hajek and Howden/Blackwell/Rooney is a waste |

That’s a really cheap price for someone who’s put up 29+ goals 3 times in his first 6 seasons. Dropped off a bit the last 2 seasons |

Nashville would have had to expose him and potentially lose him for nothing. I don't know enough about other team's situations to know who we should target but we should be looking for similar discounts since we have protection slots to spare. My example when I brought this up initially was actually Nashville but the target was Ekholm. I wonder if they make another deal because they still have too many dmen they need to protect. |

WPG will be in a tough spot with defense and offense. They’ll have to expose one of Stanley Demeo or Niku on D and one of Appleton or Copp on offense. |

I have thought they'd be after a veteran left handed defenseman with one or two years left who a team may have trouble protecting
give some time for Robertson, Jones, Skinner, to play in Hartford
unless one of them part of deal of course
so yeah Ekholm is somebody like that, Morgan Rielly, Ryan Graves, some others |

Sadly none of them have a value even close to Arvidsson.
Blackwell may be the only guy that a team might approach us for for depth. |

I think he was saying that none of Blackwell, Gauthier, Howden, Rooney are worthy of even protecting and we may as well acquire somebody else and I tend to agree

That's correct. They wouldn't be sent the other way in a deal because the acquiring team would need to protect them and it would defeat the purpose, so their value is irrelevant. Trade picks/exempt players for guys that we can acquire at a discount and protect instead of the guys listed. |

I agree, you've got me thinking more now that acquiring the 7th forward to protect should also be an idea on the table and not one of Gauthier, Rooney, Blackwell or Howden should matter in the slightest

Agreed. Whichever one of those guys gets taken can easily be replaced. The protection slots should be used as assets and using them on those 4 or Hajek just doesn't make sense to me. |
