Damn I walk looking through the team and cant believe we only have 4 forwards to protect since LAF, Kakko, Krav are exempt and Buch is unsigned. Maybe 6 with Rooney and Blackwell, but I think most here would rather have Blackwell gone.

You're correct that we're in good shape but we have 6 forward we need to protect. Mika, Panarin, Kreider, Buch (he's an RFA and needs to be protected) Strome and Chytil. The 7th spot is up for grabs.

For defense we have to protect Lindgren and Trouba. Hajek is presumed to be the 3rd by default.

That gives us two spots (1F/1D) that we could potentially acquire players to fill.
