Apparently he only wants to go to a western team, so I don't think he was an option for us under any circumstances. |

Oh well, someone is gonna get a solid vet on a friendly contract.
Kings could follow up the Arvidsson deal with a deal for Keith.
Sharks could potentially make a move for him too. If that happens then Hertl is definitely off the table. |

Maybe we can trick him because the Garden is on the west side and we can get him a house in Westchester. |

yeah and as far as cash goes, Keith only makes 2.1 million this coming season and 1.5 million the following
come to think of it, Arizona would absolutely love that, 5.3 mil cap hit with such little cash to pay
maybe thats where he's goin
chances are good Coyotes will try to acquire Boychuk from the Islanders too, another way to artificially add 6 million to their cap, like they had the Hossa contract last year |

You've got to wonder if at some point there will be a min/max real cash floor as well. Meeting the 50mil basement but only paying 25 just seems like you just want to lose |

A surprising., yet correct move by the NHl. He desefved it. Usually guys need more seasons to prove themselves rarher than just being given the award for 1 great year (Which should happen) |

With the Sharks line up I highly doubt they trade Hertl. They are going to go for it again. |

this trading of LTIR guys that's been going on is pretty ridiculous
Rangers have never participated, but as with anything else, once the Rangers do it, that's when they'll end it

I don't think they'll ever be the one holding the LTIR guy but I wonder if they will eventually be the team trading one out. |

man I tell ya I have no idea what this Shesterkin contract will be
the only thing comparable would be Demko on Vancouver and his 5 year 25 million deal

I'd have to go back and listen to be positive, but Friedman said on his podcast that it sounds like Keith is going somewhere in the Northwest. He apparently has a young son living in Penticton and the Hawks are trying to get him closer to there. Friedman thinks VAN isn't in on him and said that there may be news on it sooner than later.
Again, take that with a grain of salt...it was on his last podcast that came out earlier in the week. |
