Watching Tanev Marky and Stecher this year on other clubs you would rather have all 3 back than the Schmidt contract? I did want Toffoli back but that ship sailed. I'll gladly take Schmidt to see how he plays next year as opposed to locking in Marky Tanev Toffoli and especially Stecher (lol) long term.

The thing with Schmidt is he is a decent player and keeping him wouldn't hurt the club. That said if he did want out I would tell him he needs to drop the 10 team denial list. If he says no then tell him he is not going anywhere.

Vancouver had terrible press this year and you would be selling low so I would tell him work hard and when the time is right we will pull the trigger.
