So basically a third liner? - LeftCoaster
I hope our roster is good enough that he is a third liner but I think he is slotted with Bo

No I see Hoglander as a points guy.
I see Podkolzen as a guy who will lower the shot totals against the Canucks by 5-8 a night. I see him as a guy who will get the puck in battles. He is a very good passer but I look at him as a puck possession player mostly. I predicted between 5-10 goals only but our goals against and shots against will come down. - VANTEL
This, we need more guys like him to take the next step |

I'm not sure how many Canucks games I'll get in AZ but I'll try and keep an eye on him as I'm interested to see how he does. |

A young Bo but a winger.

It looks like there have been some changes within the #Canucks amateur scouting department:
-Todd Harvey officially has his title changed to Director of Amateur Scouting.
-Wyatt Smith has been promoted to head scout.
-Phil Golding has been promoted to head scout.
-Despite 2 promotions to head scouts, Ron Delorme and Thomas Gradin retain their titles as chief and associate chief amateur scouts.
-Amateur scout Jonathan Bates is no longer with the organization after being apart of it since 2008-2009. - VANTEL
So we lose another scout? Perhaps that’s more a changing of the times than Aquilini being cheap? Probably not |

I will continue to reiterate that Benning's mismanagement of players via signing and trade should be enough to get him canned.
He screwed up keeping JV instead of McCann,
He screwed up by keeping JV instead of letting him walk to open up space to sign Toffoli
He screwed up by keeping JV instead of trading him at the deadline a couple seasons ago before he had a poop season and was accused of rape
He screwed up by drafing JV in the first place
That's at least 4 screw ups just related to one player.
Now that is NOT copy pasta. - MisterBrown

Perfect example of the systemic issues I was speaking to earlier. Here you have a guy in Ron Delorme, and Gradin as well, who was a old Canuck warrior. Despite his years of poor results as a scout for the organization in different capacities within the department, they continue to hang onto them because they don't want to offend anyone. He would've been canned six ways to Sunday in most other organizations.
At least that's my take... - LeftCoaster
Nah you are wrong. Most NHL organizations do this crap. But yes, it is frustrating |

He has a weird Mccan hard on. And the Canucks would have been raked over the coals if they didn’t sign JV after 18 goals. If however, they knew how sh!tty his character was then he should have been dumped earlier |

You're right, other organizations do it, but not most, and that doesn't make it ok for the Canucks. Again, it leads to issues within the organization which imo ultimately contribute to them not winning a Cup....EVER! |

Sounds about right. The mindset on the left coast of Canada is just different, imo, it's not conducive to having winning sports franchises because the people that can afford this sort of thing are outside the box thinkers who overthink things....that probably doesn't make any sense, except to me, but with 50+ years of not winning there's truly some sort of systemic issues within the clubs culture despite who owns it or who manages it.
Lisa no-Helps is a prime example of this, so many green thinking people empower her to lead yet she's making a mockery of Victoria. When I was a kid downtown was a great place, now it's full of traffic congestion from so many bike lanes, it's full of homeless people and crime, and she keeps throwing good money after bad. The city is turning into a shithole. - LeftCoaster

Your PIM stats suggest differently. I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt on looks. Entering a beauty contest with Ron Delorme isn't exactly setting the bar high in the first place. |

Agreed, people have short memories and love being hindsight heroes.. I don’t remember much uproar about the JV deal. McCann was riding shotgun with PIT’s star power as a winger so his stats are inflated. He’s also been traded enough in his young career that makes you wonder about him. |
