The topic wasn’t best, or worst actual GMs, it was experienced/qualified prior to taking the job. The point was that since the mid 80’s not a single GM has had actual GM experience prior to running the team.

Agreed, people have short memories and love being hindsight heroes.. I don’t remember much uproar about the JV deal. McCann was riding shotgun with PIT’s star power as a winger so his stats are inflated. He’s also been traded enough in his young career that makes you wonder about him.
