That's got Seattle all over it - CallmeTiny
Chicago found out Toews is returning and that 10 mil was probably something they were counting on LTIR with?

I really hope Jim hasn’t seen that video.
If It helps the team in some way do it, but I don’t see Keith helping in any way. He’s a shell of his former self. |

The only way I could see it happening if Loui was the piece going back .

Yeah but Keith has two years left on his deal. Almost 6 mill I think. Wouldn’t seem reasonable. |

There are rumblings Chicago is working on a potential Duncan Keith trade to either the Pacific Northwest or Western Canada. Word is Keith and team are working together to get him to a place he wants to go. We will see where this goes.
From Friedman.
Man that’s got Benning written all over it. - Supirium99
Assuming Chicago retains a significant portion of his salary and there's nothing of significance going the other way, i don't think I'd mind it.
Looks like he can still play, shelter him as a 6-7 dman and let his contact expire at the end of the season. Perfect veteran presence for Van's increasingly young and inexperienced d-core. Maybe he has that Sundin, Perry, Spezza, E.Stall effect on the group.
That said, I'd wager its Seattle or Edm.

I get it.
Loui is wasting 6 mil this year . Bringing in Keith you get some bang for your buck instead of zero. On top of that it is one less Dman that you need to find . I think he can still get up and down the ice fairly fast
Loui and a 3 mil Dman this year and next would be at a price of 12 mil . Keith for two years is 11 mil and he would actually play unlike Loui.
I am not rallying behind the idea , I can just see why they would .

I can see it too. Like I said, if it helps the team somehow do it. I’m just not sure how much gas Keith has left. |

The retention would have to be there for sure. He doesn’t expire this season. It’s 2 years left. I am not sure what else would be involved, that’s where the interesting things happen. |

1 decent season, being propped up by Tanev and the fans want to pay him 8 million. SMH

Ahh my bad, thought it expired 2021-22.
Certainly not as appealing.

All he's saying is he modelled his game after Kieth growing up. Maybe he can play tough D throwing elbows. Canucks just have to find a Seabrook type to partner with QH. Jones and Hamilton types could do it if they can land them.
But to be honest I see Bonesy more like Kieth and QH more Brian Leetch like. Either way both need long term partners that Canucks need to sign or trade for to acquire.
Woo whenever ready more likely to 3rd pair partner with OJ. |

Not sure Canucks fans care if they win, as long as they play shiny hockey, they are happy. |

Not inferring next season. Long term with right partners why not? Each pair has puck moving offensive types on LSD and bone crunching RSD. There are 2 RSD that could be drafted in second round this draft; if adds aren't successful otherwise. |

These might be your fans. But QH's agent said they're doing bridge deal and reported numbers are $4-5M. |
