Benning should be fired for his f trades and signings.

Linden was right. Keep drafting and developing players. Bonehead Benning f'd up the program.

Carol Schram: Hoglander gets some NHL Awards votes and more Van/TB/Mtl draft analysis
In a year with one superstar rookie and plenty of other standouts, the Canucks' Nils Hoglander drew some attention in Calder Trophy voting. Plus, a look at how the Canucks' 2017 draft class stacks up against Montreal's and Tampa Bay's.

Another good analysis of a great GM, thanks Carol.

Benning is a great GM, has made some great draft choices, made opportune trades to solidify an already great roster. Now Green has added depth to the coaching staff that will change the entire defensive play of a great defensive group.

Hughes will win the Norris in the next few years, wouldn't be surprised if Podkolzin win the Calder next season.

Great time to be a Canucks fans.

You can't have a left side of Hughes Rathbone and OJ and expect to win
- VANTEL

My solution is play Hughes as a right side rover.

So it was Linden that drafted and developed Demko, Boeser, Petey, Q H, Hoglander?!?.. adding Podkolzin, Rathbone, OJ and Dipietro from the program.

Did that JTM, Schmidt and Motte trade f'it up?

Thinkin that sorta. Having Schmidt now & Bones looks nice unless JB likes the depth. Idk about that last part though.

That depends on what they do with Schmidt and Edler. Long term there are no NHL capable LSD past OJ in the system.
