This will be a key for the Canucks moving forward, as the pipeline is pretty bare again. - Reubenkincade
JB said he's going to be aggressive this offseason, not sure how many picks he's going to trade, but I'm assuming there will be a couple. |

2nd + 3rd
Also, if the UFA market is similar to last year, you can probably sign a legit top 6 winger for around the same AAV as Arvidsson and you get to keep your draft picks. - Nucker101
We can bring back Gudbrandson at a very low cap hit seeing we have a new voice in the coaching |

Foegele out of Carolina would be a nice add. Apparently he is on the block - Reubenkincade
He’d be an improvement on any of our bottom 6
Edit: where did you hear that? |

I still see plenty of 25 and under talent in the organization |

I wish the Canucks had someone a bit more creative, cunning, and cutthroat leading the way. This year is such a clusterfu ck with the expansion and Covid. I'm sure there are teams that are going to make some very crafty decisions, but that hasn't been Benning's MO. Oh well, let's see where she blows |

Could you name 3 that aren't on the roster? |

Why can’t they be on the roster? I swear people get more excited having a 21 year old playing well in the AHL rather than the NHL |

They played well. That goal at the end of the 2nd killed them. That, and Vasilevskiy is really playing well. Out at the top of his crease without a care in the world about the backdoor play. |

I don't really care for the Habs, but they pretty much won me 500 bucks in my playoff pool.😁
Tampa has a real good team, but when you can hide players like that, it goes against the whole idea behind having a salary cap, which I have never liked, in the 1st place. |

For a team that has been as bad as they have been, and having a supposed draft guru at the helm, you would think the AHL team and the reserve list would be loaded, unfortunately, those lists are some of the smallest in the league. |

Podkolzin, Costmar, Karlsson and Zlodoyev don't play in either of those 2 leagues, yet most are excited to follow their development. |

I looked into the Duncan Keith fit with Canucks a little deeper and I would do it. His cap hit will upset the ACGMs but everything else seems to make sense. It of course depends on what the return is .
I will assume it is Roussel or Loui going back the other way (hopefully Loui) and probably a draft pick. Loui's cap hit was going to sit there and do nothing so at least getting an active player back you get some use out of the money.
Keith's actual cost to the Canucks for the two years would be 3.6 in real money which they probably would have used on Edler who is the same age and puts up less points. Keith has 2.1 mil owed this year and 1.5 next year. We would have spent that money anyways.
I watched Keith a few times this year and he still gets up and down the ice and he usually has the puck on his stick when leaving the zone. He is a very smart player . So I would do the short term Keith as long as it was Loui or Roussel going the other way.
That said I believe it will be the Oilers and it will be a very good move for them. - VANTEL
The Canucks made 2 TDL trades that favored the Hawks. Perhaps there is a gentleman's agreement in place for after bonuses get paid. But adding Kieth to mentor QH and Bonesy is not the type of Cap use they should do as RSD is the need. |

Vilardi is still counted as a prospect and yet Pettersson isn’t. Prospect pool rankings reward teams who draft worse sometimes |

I don't believe there is an agreement .
Hawks want to get him off the roster seeing he is getting older.

Ya, I've been saying as much for a bit now. JB has done well drafting in the top of the draft, but for a guru you'd hope the prospect pool would be a bit deeper or more robust. Doesn't help he's traded away a lot of picks and prospects
To be fair, a lot of the young guys are on the team, but that's also a double-edged sword in itself. |
