I think there is already too many young players on Canucks. I agree with Vintsy send Rathbone back this year for more development.

Why would there be any type of agreement, one was a trade for a player that actually works hard at both ends of the ice, for a player who is Goldobin level clueless in his own zone, the other was for a defensemen that meets the criteria for exposure requirements, if anything, the Hawks did the Canucks a favour.

Ya, I've been saying as much for a bit now. JB has done well drafting in the top of the draft, but for a guru you'd hope the prospect pool would be a bit deeper or more robust. Doesn't help he's traded away a lot of picks and prospects

To be fair, a lot of the young guys are on the team, but that's also a double-edged sword in itself.

Yes, many have been on the Benning trashing train for awhile now.
As I have stated in the past, I like to give a GM 6 years to clear up a mess and set up the organization for future success, unfortunately Benning hasn't done a very good job at it.

It's amusing that Flyers and Bruins are in on almost every deal. But Schmidt is bottom of list testing market speculation. Like I've said about OJ trade speculation it depends what they do with Schmidt.
