I am a Leafs fan. Being predicted to win or a least get to the finals is a kiss of death. That is what happened this year. Habs have got better every series but that wont be good enough but that is why they play the games? Before the playoffs Tampa, Colorado and Leafs had the best roster. Turns out here were two pretenders. If Leafs would have got past the Habs they would be a much more confident and experienced team. One of Matthews posts just needed to go in and it would have been a different playoffs?
I give the Habs credit. Once Tampa beats them they will go back to wanting to fire Bergeron. To me he was the best gm this year? Dubas did every thing the experts said he needed to do. From my perspective the only questionable move was Kadri. They could get him back for Kerfoot with Avs holding some money. The risk of another suspension should be low but if not let the other team worry about that. |

MTL is not good.
In a weak Canadian Division they were only3 points over .500 with a negative goal differential. They didn't see anyone nearly as good as TB all season, until now.
Hell, Carolina & Florida would beat them in a 7 game series. Probably Nashville too. |
