I mentioned a month or so ago that VAN had interest in Medicine Hat Tiger center free agent Brett Kemp. Sounds like a deal has already happened or is about to happen. Likely an AHL deal. He has been a WHL solid player. Let’s see if he can duplicate it in the AHL and maybe the NHL

Since Jeff Vinik purchased the team, the Tampa Lightning are tied with the Boston Bruins for playoff wins with 80 and Lightning are third in playoffs games played. This includes the 2010 playoffs after he bought the team that Spring.

The Lightning now have 69 wins in the playoffs since their 2015 run, which is 27 (!) more than the second highest NHL team.

I'd say 9.9 playoff wins a season is pretty, pretty good....

They seem like a decently owned and run team

It makes sense on 3 levels to me
1. The logo is a desired fan wish for a long time
2.you keep same color scheme and make money on the sales
3. The Canucks main marketing slogan is "we are all Canucks ", so it makes sense to not have your farm team 50 km away named something else
