Thats fair.

I'd bump the drafting and trading up a grade and go with an overall grade of B. Also, Ferland and Roussel injuries made those signings look worse than they ere, ditto with Juolevi's injuries and passing on Tkachuk. Just some typical Canuck bad luck there

- Nucker101

Juolevi over Tkachuk may end up a blessing. Doesn't mean juolevi is a good player by any means but Tkachuk sounds like he may be creating problems and has a crappy cap hit. Never mind cap hit is fine lol

Plus the butterfly effect may mean no EP

I’m not interested in doing my own research, but I would bet that Chucky is one of the better production/$ players in the NHL over the past couple years. Just because Treeliving is an idiot and can’t build a team is no reason to hate on a player that wants to win…

I think EP is a below average high-end number one to average number one but a rock solid 2 on a Stanley cup contender. Even another center the same as EP would give us a shot with Bo at 3 or on wing

The body of UFA signings is better but recently bad luck & term has been poor.

Roussel injuries was unfortunate but some prospect should’ve bumped him already for what he brings.

Ferland was a gamble that could’ve paid off but no harm.

The young D is where I pin alot of optimism on but that needs the RHD partners we sorely lack.

That’s such a load of crap. With Chucky the Canucks might have dropped two or three spots in the standings. Didn’t they go from 3 to 5 in the lottery? They would still have been in a position to draft Petey.

He's a fine top line player, and Bo is a fine 2C. Need a solid 3C to give them support and depth. You guys get carried away with the grass is greener mentality, there's plenty of teams who would kill for that 1-2 punch down the middle.

Clearly you're not aware of how the butterfly effect works, it's deeper than that.

I've just started checking them out for some of the guys. There's such a spread in some of the rankings. Not a lot of recent hockey to judge. The good news we're not in desperate need of a Goalie. I'm just not sold on Wallstedt being worthy of a top 15 pick.
- Load Management

My suggestion is when reading all these sites isn’t helpful so I went with need. RHD & C. After researching RHD seemed remote & then C had some pop out. Finding lots of D that could be good picks 2nd & on. I look past wingers as a general rule of thumb. Just me.

For chuckles & giggles JB’s report card…

Drafting B+
Contracts B
UFA’s E
Trading C
Overall C
My expectations: B

To make the GM honour roll…

Fix the D 1st.
Don’t spend on UFA F’s but do find value for short term placeholders.
Time the farm pipeline gets results.

- Nighthawk

That's fair. But if JB spends on placeholders instead of impact players he'll get an F from FA.

You probably don’t know who Rick and Morty are, but his post was basically a classic episode summarized.

Drance posted something today about 11 potentially low cost, potentially high value forwards the Canucks should target in free agency/trade.

I was listening to the podcast at work today but was kinda busy so missed most of it, but he’s super high on some kid from the Jets who they will probably lose in the expansion draft.

I rather a top 3C that has hints of 2C. UFA wise is why I like Granlund or Wennberg. Draft one 9th I like & hope gets done.

It’s a cartoon about a grandpa scientist and his grandson having epic adventures. Like Dr. Who.
