He doesn't fall enough to be talked about in that company yet...

Then you get defensemen in the Rangers trade and draft Beniers #1.

F the rags. They can have Eakin for a 5th and F off.

How would you feel if he was a throw in on an Eichel or Reinhart trade?

He could, but let's calm expectations. It's not like he lite the world on fire last season either.

He shows promise but he has lot's to work on. He does seem like the type of kid that will just keep working though

- Stripes77

Point taken. But have Zegras, Byfield, Rossi, Berniers or any other center prospect "lit the world on fire"? The expectations for them are super "shiny new toy" high.

Eakin? A throw in? I’d probably send Adams some homemade cookies.

Just give them to Taco, he can leave them on the front porch.

Although it's not quite Jack ECHL-level, but the "Cozensons" moniker did enter that realm.

I wouldn't disagree. Girgs had a great rookie year, had a lot of us calling him captain and ROR 2.0. That said, I think Cozens has higher offensive upside, and a breeze doesn't blow him over.

That’s a good idea! We should all send stuff to taco to leave at KA’s house, if he does a good job…. No cookies for crap work!

Can still win with 3 good ones down the middle as long as you build a good team around those C. It really depends on who keeps growing and what happens with these trades and how they go about the draft.
- Buff36

while that is true ....... eventually you will need an elite player. Eichel has single handedly won the sabres games.

Protect Tokarski, expose Ullmark

Edit, that's backwards. Expose Tokarski, and you've met your requirement. Nothing more needs to be done. You don't need to "Protect" any. You just need to expose one.

- SDSabre

It appears as if this is true. I think the two rules are:

1. Teams must leave two viable F's, 1 viable D and 1 viable goalie exposed
2. Teams can protect up to 7/3/1 or 4/4/1

I just have a gut feeling we will see something like

Strome, Miller, 2021 1st, 2022 1st for Eichel.

I just don’t see teams trading their top prospect who will be cost controlled for a million for a few years then cost controlled on a bridge for several more AND adding players to aquire a 10 million dollar contract with injury questions. I think GMs would be more likely to do more quantity then a sure thing quality

There's no reason to throw him in, as he has negative value. If any team, anywhere, views him as positive value (pick return, no salary to remain), then yeah. Otherwise, what's the point in taking back something bad in return.

Everyone acts like if we trade him we will cease being able to aquire new players in the future. There is the next two drafts. Plus 20 million dollars in cap we will have from trading Risto, Jack and Sam.

The Sabres are going to be bad next season.

They should be picking top 3

The games at least should be more watchable
