Before anyone says it, Henrique probably in return to Buffalo.

There's no reason to throw him in, as he has negative value. If any team, anywhere, views him as positive value (pick return, no salary to remain), then yeah. Otherwise, what's the point in taking back something bad in return. - TheSabresTaco

Or Ace Ventura wants him gone? - Hank Balling
Not sure on that
Hopefully both? |

Absolutely is coming back if Eichel goes to Anaheim

I just have a gut feeling we will see something like
Strome, Miller, 2021 1st, 2022 1st for Eichel.
I just don’t see teams trading their top prospect who will be cost controlled for a million for a few years then cost controlled on a bridge for several more AND adding players to aquire a 10 million dollar contract with injury questions. I think GMs would be more likely to do more quantity then a sure thing quality - Fattony1187

I dont hate that. As long as we get Zegras + Gibson or Drysdale + picks. |

I agree I rather have a sure thing but I wouldn’t call two 1st rd picks, a 21 year old D drafted in the 1st and a Center we can flip to C-Bus for another 1st “trash” |

It appears as if this is true. I think the two rules are:
1. Teams must leave two viable F's, 1 viable D and 1 viable goalie exposed
2. Teams can protect up to 7/3/1 or 4/4/1 - TheSabresTaco
I'm not sure you are correct on the can't protect UFAs. CapFriendly has a Expansion format, and Tokarski fits in the only goalie allowed to be exposed (meets requirement) but allows you to select Ullmark, Hutton, or Houser for protection.
So protect Ullmark, expose Tokarski, Hutton, and Houser. Tokarski qualifies as a viable goalie to be exposed. |

That's fine. No idea why he'd waive to come here but welcome aboard the tank train.
I'd they're taking that Berglund-esque contract they better get the good poop. A lot of good poop |

I don't think they're going to get all of that
Comtois Perrault Henrique and 3rd overall was Anaheim's counter
Right now it's either Comtois and 3rd overall or just Zegras not the 3rd overall (plus the other pieces)

People need to think outside the box on players coming back in a Eichel trade. Great to get back a top prospect. But there are other players that could be involved that can help this team. |

It's not amazing that's for sure
But Adams is holding firm so that won't be the final deal |

I'd push hard AF to get Drysdale thrown in if taking AH back, and no Zegras, regardless of what other pieces come. Add more salary dump if needed. |

The Sabres are going to be bad next season.
They should be picking top 3
The games at least should be more watchable - Stripes77
Will they?
This is going to be the season before they tanked for McDavid bad, possibly worse.
People watched because they were excited about McDavid.
There is not going to be that excitement this time around its going to be apathy, the arena is going to be empty and the TV ratings are going to be awful. |

No way I'd take Henrique without Zegras and 3

While I agree, that sounds awfully similar to the ROR situation. Throwing a lot of pieces together can still equate to garbage. |

Strange to me that this topic keeps coming back up. You're right on these.
Tokarski is the only G who meets the exposure requirements. The is no GP requirement for G's. He's going to be exposed.
You don't have to protect a G and you can protect UFA's. If there isn't a trade, you just protect Ullmark because you can.

Well Stripes just put out a few, but Mclaughlin and Dostal names have been mentioned. Kupari, Kaliyev, Turcotte, Vilardi, Bjornfot are all names being thrown around. Calgary and Buffalo have been talking a lot. |
