No way I'd take Henrique without Zegras and 3 - Hank Balling
A team isn’t trading for Eichel unless a cap dump is coming back built into the trade. Not gonna add more to give us a cap dump. Eichel makes 10 million dollars. |

I dont hate that. As long as we get Zegras + Gibson or Drysdale + picks. - Sabretooth9
ducks are not trading for eichel and moving gibson to have a hole in net
they would be trading for eichel to ensure they are not wasting gibson's years left |

While I agree, that sounds awfully similar to the ROR situation. Throwing a lot of pieces together can still equate to garbage. - IceColdBeer
Well of course, but that can be put into context with any prospect. |

Exactly, maybe Dostal |

That's fine. I'd take Berglund and Sobotka but I'd want the good poop.
Otherwise dump your problems elsewhere |

It's not amazing that's for sure
But Adams is holding firm so that won't be the final deal - Stripes77
The big question is if he'd take that deal on draft day, if it was the best offer.

Do you have sources saying this, or is this your logic?
Just curious. |

Well Stripes just put out a few, but Mclaughlin and Dostal names have been mentioned. Kupari, Kaliyev, Turcotte, Vilardi, Bjornfot are all names being thrown around. Calgary and Buffalo have been talking a lot. - Buff36
Fair enough. And any of those names could have more of an impact than any of the big-name prospects already mentioned. Drysdale, Bjornfort or the rags lundqvist all would be good alternatives, but imo, they're not zegras, byfield or lafreniere, which should be the get for a top-10 center just entering his prime who's signed for five more years |

Will they?
This is going to be the season before they tanked for McDavid bad, possibly worse.
People watched because they were excited about McDavid.
There is not going to be that excitement this time around its going to be apathy, the arena is going to be empty and the TV ratings are going to be awful. - ImThatGuy
I think they will be
There is at least high end talent on this team with Dahlin
I think Granato did well with what he was given.

I’ve heard that KA doesn’t want any one player coming back in the Eichel trade to be a centrepiece. There would be too much pressure on that player to fill Jack’s skates. Instead they want at least 3 equivalent level prospects so that there won’t be one that fans and media identify as Jack’s replacement. So no Byfield, Zegras type players. Instead look for the next tier down of prospects. |

Meh, Comtois, Drysdale, and 3 I would. To each their own. |
|
|
|
I don't think they're going to get all of that
Comtois Perrault Henrique and 3rd overall was Anaheim's counter
Right now it's either Comtois and 3rd overall or just Zegras not the 3rd overall (plus the other pieces) - Stripes77
Then you keep eichel and tell the ducks tough luck. He has 5 years left. You cant trade him for trash. |

I hear what you are saying, but think people need to prepare for other things. Doesn't mean it won't happen, but just need to think of other things |

This isn't a cut and dry trade here
Contract, Health, etc are all variables
It's going to be a factor here

as logical as this sounds, and this is not against you, this sounds as if he's setting up sabreland for a sub-par return |

i'm with ya...that post from jp above sounds as if sabres pr is getting ready to soften the blow of a sub-par return on a jack trade |

Honestly wouldn’t hate it. I think we’re targeting D prospects in trade and focusing early on forwards in the draft. |

I think it’s more likely he wants a top player but every team has told him no. |

Unless someone is quoting Adams as saying this, I don't believe it for one second.
The word around the league is that Adams might be asking TOO much. |

They don't have to trade Jack. Adams needs to set the market, not other teams. |
