that could very well be it - Michael Pachla
Comtois, Drysdale, Eklund, Perrault, and AH is a healthy return imo. With Drysdale as the high end D prospect, also allows you to take Matty B as well. You walk away winners like that. |

This isn't a cut and dry trade here
Contract, Health, etc are all variables
It's going to be a factor here - Stripes77
That's it Stripes, people need to understand this, this injury is a big thing. And a Cap dump is happening with almost every team that would be involved. |

I’ve heard that KA doesn’t want any one player coming back in the Eichel trade to be a centrepiece. There would be too much pressure on that player to fill Jack’s skates. Instead they want at least 3 equivalent level prospects so that there won’t be one that fans and media identify as Jack’s replacement. So no Byfield, Zegras type players. Instead look for the next tier down of prospects. - Losman
If that's true, boy oh boy the Sabres are in some scary hands |

Just because counter offers are coming in doesn't mean the deal is done. Adams is playing the game and holding his cards tight. There's teams involved so Adams has what he wants right know, the phone ringing. |

I don't either.
But that's what happens around here in Sabreland. Someone "heard" something, and then many pass it around as gospel, and then it takes on a life of its own. |

I hope it's not true. That philosophy is essentially admitting defeat. |

Gross - Hank Balling
Chad D's deal was: 3OA or Zegras, Comtois, Gibson, Perrault
Anaheim and Buffalo are extremely close here, if this was the deal. Maybe Buffalo wants Gibson and they're adamant we take Henrique? Or moreso, maybe Sabres want Zegras AND 3OA and cap dumps. Would love to hear the Sabres counter, or what they're standing pat on. |

That's fine. I'd take Berglund and Sobotka but I'd want the good poop.
Otherwise dump your problems elsewhere - Hank Balling
So you want the tallest prospect on a team’s roster, a cap dump and Eakin 2.0 for jack.

"I would say at this point that it’s very likely that the third overall pick will be included in this deal if it happens. If the Adams is able to pull one of Zegras or Drysdale out of Bob Murray in addition to that top three pick; you won’t see much beyond that. The Sabres would likely only get one more tier three asset and may have to provide a conditional pick back to the Ducks.
At this time, I’m told there’s a good amount of discussion around conditions in a potential trade to protect the team acquiring Eichel in the case his neck injury does keep him out of games in the next year or two." |

Strange to me that this topic keeps coming back up. You're right on these.
Tokarski is the only G who meets the exposure requirements. The is no GP requirement for G's. He's going to be exposed.
You don't have to protect a G and you can protect UFA's. If there isn't a trade, you just protect Ullmark because you can. - Lunaion
Once I figured this out, everything made sense.

But the neck Injury won't affect anything, think I heard that a lot!!🤔🤔 |

I guess I can understand the thinking. But it’s the dumbest idea yet. Please, don’t give me your best prospect, give me 3 average ones…. Because the best prospect might feel pressure from the cranky fans. You absolutely go after a teams top prospect.
Be better KA…. |

Unless someone is quoting Adams as saying this, I don't believe it for one second.
The word around the league is that Adams might be asking TOO much. - Powerslave
i've heard and red the same thing...i guess it'll all depend on the size of his kahunas |

That sounds like a good way to spin it...lower expectations.
I think is is a wrong approach if indeed thos is true what he is after.
So, I call bullpoop...it would be like trading the 1-OA for picks 13, 15 and 18..just to relieve high expectations associated with 1-OA |

Terrible approach. If that's the return then you let him get the surgery
Conditional pick the other way? Brutal |

I would think given the expansion draft coming before the nhl draft
any team sending 2 or more roster players out for Jack, would want the trade to happen before the expansion draft

Nor should they.
Compromise on fusion surgery if he really wants to go under the knife. |
