I would think given the expansion draft coming before the nhl draft
any team sending 2 or more roster players out for Jack, would want the trade to happen before the expansion draft - homiedclown
Anaheim won't have a problem protecting Jack. Exposing Jones or Steel can't possibly be a big deal.

So 3OA, Zegras, Henrique and a B prospect isn't good enough to you? - TheSabresTaco
I would be happy if it's those 3 and Blake McLaughlin |

I don't think they're going to get all of that
Comtois Perrault Henrique and 3rd overall was Anaheim's counter
Right now it's either Comtois and 3rd overall or just Zegras not the 3rd overall (plus the other pieces) - Stripes77
I've proposed this trade on CF...didn't get one comment on it and I even threw the rights to Pilut lol

Plus the Sabres give the ducks a conditional pick?
Personally, no.
Is there any chance the Sabres come close to achieving a win/win there? |

I think you hold tight to one of Zegras and Drysdale plus 3. And we'll even take your cap dump. |

Agreed! If they aren't still interested, then Jack stays a Sabre. |

If it is between Zegras+ and Drysdale+, I would prefer Zegras. |

3OA, Zegras/Drysdale, Henrique feels like the deal they are hoping they come up to. Seems like it will take another team upping the ante to get them there.

Best case scenario. Have the better centre of Zegras/Beniers
The better d-man of Power/Drysdale
And grab Eklund at 3!!!!

3OA, Zegras/Drysdale, Henrique, plus reverse conditional based on jack health? That might not be fun, depending on the condition, my condition is in feels like the deal they are hoping they come up to. Seems like it will take another team upping the ante to get them there. - Lunaion
Fixed?

So I know lots here seem pretty convinced Eichel is gone
If the keep him, either because they asked for too much or were not trading him anyways, would this have been the best chance to trade him?
I believe his clauses kick in next year so he has the power to decide where he is traded to which could limit the return, still will get a very good return but with him deciding that hurts the potential return or would you just keep him and hope he doesn't bring the team down if he isn't being a team player?
This is assuming he is healthy |

Maybe a third team is brought in like the Duchene trade from Col to Ott...Nash received Turris. The third team would get Henrique send us some assets and we hold 50% |

Fixed?

No. Why would the Sabres be hoping to include a conditional?

Sure, But does this change your mind:
Zegras, Power, Eklund
OR
Drysdale, Benier, Eklund
Both would look really good to me, and if that's the case I'm down |

I think Henrique comes here
They want to develop their young players, not just throw them to the wolves every game

Not hoping. But sounds like that’s what Anaheim is hoping. I would not like such things….
I may have miss read post as I was supposed to be working. |

Yes its better to trade him before the clause kicks in. But even if he has one. If he wants out we gotta let him out.

Compromise. Here's a conditional 6th rounder. GFYS (Ducks, not you Hank) |
