I am listening to GR this morning (a couple hours delayed) and they are talking about the possibility of bringing back 23. They are talking about the idea of keeping him for a bit to see if he likes the new world - I don't think you can risk an injury. He has to be moved now. |

89 mentioned that in passing last night. Not sure if he was kidding or heard anything. It would be interesting. Make Samson the leader and captain of the kids. Maybe he really liked playing for Donnie?
Send jack out….
Can always move Sam at the deadline…
Adams & co (we can say that now, he has two peeps to play with)… they have some decisions to make |

Sam Reinhart will never be more valuable than he is right now. If you can keep him, great, just make sure it's for a very long time. A one year deal is totally unacceptable and I want to be sure they know that.

I am sure that they know that. From all accounts they want to sign him but it seems that he wants to go out west. I'd consider the risk if I thought he was a true 1C. I don't think he is so it doesn't seem reasonable to take the chance.

What’s the 8 year deal look like as the leader of the kids? $7 per… $8 per … $skinner per? |

But that's the thing - he is kind of a tweener. He is what TMGM describe him as - a guy you don't notice much during the game but when you look at the scoresheet he has a point or two. That's both a good thing and a bad thing. |

For me, it would take all three of the Columbus 1st round picks, or the Anaheim 3rd overall along with Anaheim's 2022 unprotected 1st.
I sure as hell am not trading from 1 to the teens for anything short of a ransom in return. - kingcong39
According to valuation models for the NHL Dtaft Picks; the combined value of CBJ's Picks at 5, 23, 31 is between the 1st and 2nd pick...so you would not be achieving equal value. Unless you believe the Sabres Scouting team can out perform historical performances in a relatively weak draft.
I would want more, an overpayment for 1.
Something more akin to 5, 6, 31 |
