Great! Thank you! You do an amazing job!
We are stuck with MIA Mussa who provides little info and now he is teaming and with Sam Woo who well is embarrassing with his takes but have been following your blogs especially with prospects and getting alot of info from them
I think the devil's do go with Hughes too but the also have Clarke's brother too and Clarke may be better offensively - dmarsden2988
Thanks.
William Eklund played with Holtz a good amount this year.

Something like that, 2008-11 think they had 22, 10 or 11 in 2009 and back to back 1's in 2010 and 11 |

I'd give each team a drop dead date to submit their final offers for each player. |

Exactly. Hockey is stupid. You're literally burning your own money (in this case, on equipment so you can shoot a rubber puck around). Why not just flush your hard earned cash down the toilet instead ? A lot safer. I can think of a million better things to spend my money on. Hell, you can just donate your skate and shoot money to a charity. Not to mention the extreme danger involved. You never know what could happen to a friend or a linemate. What if something horrible happened to one of your children on the ice, as has happened countless times?
Enough with the hockey stuff. Grow up already. So dumb. - kritter65

Think you can do that for Rhino and Risto but Eichel is a bit different. |

I'll bite then, what do you do if no team makes a legitimate offer by said date?
"We were kidding"...
Take a poop offer?
Keep Jack and never take calls again?
Looks like suspect options to me. That whole, only sith deal in absolutes, may apply here. |

At some point you have to move on and prepare for the draft, free agency, the upcoming season, no?
They don't HAVE to trade any of them. |

Well Risto stays until the trade deadline and probably Rhino too or someone calls after the draft and it's next years 1st+. Can't do that with Jack IMO |

I'm hoping they're doing that regardless of what's going on with Eichel, but that deal could affect FA especially, so I get it.
I think the issue I have with that is that then his value drops. If other teams know there is a date of 8/1 (ex) to acquire Jack by and he's not moved over the next couple days, those same offers never climb. Why would we pay more?
I guess it's a credibility issue, but also an issue of leverage. I think we would be making a temporary power move by calling that out, when in reality we don't really have a good deal in the pocket yet (assuming here) to fall back on. Unless an offer has come in they'd be willing to accept, I think you have to let the chips fall for a while, no? |

I think the same thing applies regardless of the player. Unless you have a deal you're willing to accept, putting on a deadline will most likely not work in our favor.
Best case scenario it could, a team wants Samson badly and pays the extra X to get him.
However, if that doesn't happen, it stagnates any higher offers (why add when the price being asked isn't being met). No? |

Furthermore, I think there's a decent chance that one of Jack or Samson is still here come puck drop next season. No reason why we can't plan for having none, one or both of them for next year...actually a prudent team would be doing this already. |

Fair and valid points. I suppose you'd have to weigh any offers made at that time, if any teams have made one. Maybe there's a couple you like, but are trying to see if anyone will beat them.

If they're close, I must admit, it would make a lot better sense. If it's 2 or 3 teams that are relatively close, poke them with a hot iron. Think this applies if we're trying to really raise the level of the offers.
That would be awesome. I'd pay money and keep quiet about it too if I could sit in on one TDL week. |
