huge 2017 sens vibes

Unexpected Canadian team makes it to the final.

Strong team wins 2nd of back-to-back championships.

Leafs eliminated in the first round.

It does feel like 2017.

Perry pulling a Hossa, losing twice in the final with two different team.

Would we be interested in Tony Deangelo if the Rangers retained half?

One year, $2.4M cap hit.

I'm assuming we could get him for Jeremy Bracco, so there's not a lot of risk involved, other than maybe having $1.4M in dead cap if we need to bury him on the Marlies.

Kucherov would no doubt have been there too, but the point is taken:

Who needs stars in low-event, obstruction rewarded playoff hockey?!

- mjones242

Yeah, but I really get the feeling that this summer the NHL will finally address their pathetic game management and putting away the whistles, so that elite talent can finally shine in the playoffs, so that the league stops being a joke and unwatched by most of the USA.

This is the year. I can feel it.

Seriously, it's coming.

This year.

I can't wait.

No way the league goes another year without addressing this.

How could they possibly allow this to continue?

It's going to be great.

Bettman will lead this.

No, seriously.

OK, maybe next summer...

I'd do it, he's a lunatic. Not wishing any injury to a player, is it wrong to hope that if there is a stretcher on the ice the next time the Leafs are in the playoffs it is not a Leaf being carried off?

Well the most talented team in the NHL just won back-to-back cups.

I'm not sure the argument "Talent is getting smothered by physical play" will hold.

Bracco used to be a slam dunk steal of a Dubas pick, but now thankfully he is a dumb Lou and Hunter bust.

He's gonna be bought out. Possibly within a day or 2.

Will only cost 383k + 883k against the cap...

Meh.

Seemed like the whole thing was overblown to me.

He fought a goalie - jeez, if you won't allow that, you need to take John Kordic off your team.

Habs D were very physical. The cross checking, Elbowing, etc... I would have speared Edmonson in the balls so hard, he would have been able to taste my hockey tape.

"have ya had any since then?"

"No but I dont need to because of that one time"
