Well the most talented team in the NHL just won back-to-back cups.

I'm not sure the argument "Talent is getting smothered by physical play" will hold.

- Scabeh

Just immense talent.

No offense to your Habs, but at times it looked like the Lightning had about $20M more in salary than your team.

Habs D were very physical. The cross checking, Elbowing, etc... I would have speared Edmonson in the balls so hard, he would have been able to taste my hockey tape.

We can give them a new award. Call it the Chara award for most cross-checks in the playoffs

Yeah, but I really get the feeling that this summer the NHL will finally address their pathetic game management and putting away the whistles, so that elite talent can finally shine in the playoffs, so that the league stops being a joke and unwatched by most of the USA.

This is the year. I can feel it.

Seriously, it's coming.

This year.

I can't wait.

No way the league goes another year without addressing this.

How could they possibly allow this to continue?

It's going to be great.

Bettman will lead this.

No, seriously.

OK, maybe next summer...

I don't know what everyone's complaining about.

Bieksa said it last night, the officiating was good: tampa had 3 power plays, montreal had 3 power plays

Now that's quality officiating

How many flip it over the glass penalties?

After all flip it over the glass should be the same penalty as a cross-check in the face that causes enough damage to require surgery.

So no penalty at all for flipping it over the glass?

Or maybe just call the Cross checks, not that it would matter with the Leafs power play and coaching staff that refuses to change anything.

If I have a choice between seeing an NHLer display supposed "character" by disrespecting his opponents and their fans...or him being "boring"...I'll take boring. Kucherov is not going to have fun going in the corners against Montreal next season...I can guarantee that.

What are you, some kinda sissy?

Defencemen crippling forwards in front of he net is part of hockey, I tells ya!

If skilled players were allowed to stand in front of the net, you'd have scoring and excitement.

No thanks.

Give me a good 1-0 Stanley Cup final every time - that's how you build the popularity of the game!

No shame to losing to such a great team for sure.

The end of a great run by a great bunch of guys that gave it their all.

They came pretty damn close.

- Scabeh

Agreed.
But fack the habs.

Unexpected Canadian team makes it to the final.

Strong team wins 2nd of back-to-back championships.

Leafs eliminated in the first round.

It does feel like 2017.

The run reminded me of the Sens run a few years ago before they imploded the following years. Well see Caulfield looks like hell be very good, but I do feel like the Habs have some aging players they need to address.

I'm sure Kucherov is quaking in his skates. As if teams have gone easy on him all of these years because he didn't "disrespect" them or their fans.

Pretty sure I read the other day its the least views cup final in the states in a long time.

The game is dying over there.
