On Jack Eichel...Three teams with serious interest and the ability to offer enough to allow this trade too happen. Anaheim, LA, and Columbus. Columbus might come in with their biggest package we have seen. I wouldn't be shocked to see Seth Jones as part of that deal, even if the Sabres feel they can't extend him. Jones will return a #1+ at the deadline, and would make the Sabres better this season.



Columbus doesn't have the horses to beat California.

So I can't find anything about the total elimination of picks, just a rule clarification about playoff related picks from the 2020 playoffs with the 24 team play in round. "Making the playoffs" meant you were one of the 16 teams.

Zacha is a major disappointment for where he was drafted in 2015 as a 6th overall pick, however the way his offensive game has come around he’s developing just like Couterier did.

Not saying Zacha is going to end up getting to a PPG like Couts has but being a 55-60 point guy who is solid defensively would be a good get.

This is only applicable if the traded player has an NHL contract at the time of the trade. A notable recent example was when the San Jose Sharks re-signed Evander Kane after acquiring him from the Buffalo Sabres. The decision to re-sign Kane came with an increased cost to the Sharks, as a conditional fourth-round selection was upgraded to a first-round pick.

Sounds like Columbus will throw the farm at Buffalo for Eichel. This may end up including a swap of firsts this year. I’m sure Seth Jones will be part of the package as well. Good player. Be fun to watch for 3/4 of a year and should get us a nice return at the deadline, or by some miracle sign here

He had 35 this year. Would of been second in points and goals on our team.
